But Stadia doesn't rent you games. It sells a monthly access to their game library. You totally have the right to think otherwise and not be interrested in that kind of service, but sorry, I just don't get your point.
Where does games with subscription services like WoW or EQ stands, in your logic? Might help me figure it out.

This is all hypothetical, of course, but sure thing, if performances are good, I'd be more than happy to play AAA titles on a toaster, for a resonable monthly fee (10$) if it gives me access to all the gaming catalog (just like Netflix) and save the 1000$ my PC costs every 2 or 3 years. I might go ARM all the way and save on my electricity bill at the same time, be it on "Steam streaming" or Stadia. I may even run all of that on a Raspberri pi 4, integrated into Recalbox / Retropi... Who knows?!

Edit: This said, not going to say that Google is the good guy. Just saying that the war for the protection of our personnal informations seems to be lost, imo. I'm not ok with that and it doesn't mean that we shouldn't be careful about that either, but that's how it is. The only real solution is to be disconnected from the internet and, thus, become some kind of alienated creature. ;)

Quoting: SalvatosFacebook, maybe? Are we all Facebook free here? I'm not even sure being Facebook free is enough, anyway. It seems they have other means to get our data.Quoting: ShabbyXRegarding Google and data, believe me, Google is the farthest from evil. You mean among its likes? Or in absolute terms?

Sure thing, for me, it's Steam first. After that, for titles I can't get any other way, I might consider Stadia, but let's wait and see what form it will take. There are too many unknowns in the equation, for the moment.
The controller looks packed with features and cool, though. Might get one at some point, depending on the price and if it's not locked to Stadia.
Edit: Crazy tought... Stadia on Steam Link (hardware) with Chrome...
Edit2: Is Stadia going to use a "custom" (as in kiosk and dedicated) version of chrome? Like a preconfigured chrome app that you install from the google store?

Quoting: tmtvlConsidering the ability to choose the mods you use is so important I think this platform is gonna take off like the Challenger.... Not counting on the quality of "Stadia's homemade exclusives"... Just that might attract a lot of people on the service.

If EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard and the likes start shipping games for Stadia (not exclusives)... I wonder if it could mean that we are closer to see a Linux version of their respective stores... But I might just be dreaming.

Quoting: mao_dze_dunFrom what I read and understand, ElementaryOS is an Ubuntu derivative? I wouldn't be affraid to try it, at least.Quoting: MohandevirOh sweet! Is it controller friendly? For couch gaming, something like this would be pretty nice.Yup. The beta branch has had controller support for months. Sadly most people wouldn't look at anything that isn't Lutris, because apparently choice is only good when it comes to your OS ;).

Padoka-dev is at Mesa 19.1 and Padoka-stable is at 18.3.3... Does this news means that Mesa 19.0 is now going stable? If so, is there anybody that knows when we may hope for it to appear on padoka-stable?
