Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and before that Mad Max (finished). I must be an easy prey because I found both games awesome. I don't understand all the negative critics Deus Ex recieved... Was it updated to correct the flaws?
Got Rive from Humble monthly... Played with it a couple of minutes to find out it was more like half an hour... Could easily get hooked up to this one. :)
Next up... Hitman!

It seems that Microsoft is gearing up to push UWP to it's full potential... Usually it starts like that and in a future update becomes mandatory. That's Microsoft's usual way of imposing stuff.

Quoting: LeopardJust to add to the discussion...Quoting: BeamboomThat thing will be much more strong argument i guess, which MS do their own platform exclusive titles now and then.Quoting: LeopardAt some point you will see people will prefer Ms store to Steam.Amongst the Xbox console owners, true. But only those. And that will not change - Steam will never be able to offer a cross play to that segment anyway.
But yeah - it's of course a good thing for those with both a Steambox and a Windows PC.
So if you want to play them, you must stick with MS solutions. If you start to invest a platform or a store,it will be hard for to let it go.Just look at the Apple ecosystem, most of the people are highly bounded with them because people don't want to buy their paid apps once more.
That threat is so strong, only PlayStation and Origin can survive this because they have some kickass exclusive games.

Quoting: chuzzle44I want to be excited, but Grid Autosport taught me that I can't drive. Beautiful, amazing game, and all I can do do is spin and crash my way through the game. Here's hoping for a good arcade racer.Have you tried Dirt Showdown? That's quite Arcade to me and real fun. :)

Oh yes! Spacious skies, you'll be mine! :)
Looking forward to test the Steam Controller gyro on this one! It makes an awesome steering wheel in Grid Autosport.

Quoting: tuubiThanks for the support. In fact it happened only 2 or 3 times in my 70+ hours of gameplay. Not really bothersome and I didn't meant it has a complain either. I was just stating what I witnessed during those crashes. The game is quite playable as is.Quoting: DanglingPointerNot taking anything personally mate if you read my response, I tried to give you possible reasons for the crash. Thanks, but I wasn't the one who had trouble starting the game after a crash. Restarted fine every time. I don't intend to replay the game now that it's done either. Thanks for trying to help though.
I'm in software development as well btw. You'll find there's probably a higher percentage of (professional and hobbyist) developers on this blog than your average gaming site, due to the Linux focus.
Linux market-share on Steam dropped 0.08% in December 2016

For Linux market share to rise there must be a hardware push.
As long as Windows is the only OS preinstalled in the pcs sold in the Walmarts or bestbuy of this world (North America), the share will not move by much. That was just a wild example, but seeing Steam Machines sold besides PS4s and Xboxes in such bigbox stores is a pleasing tought.
Still, Linux gaming needs a second Steam Machine generation and with the latest AMD+Valve developments, it seems likely.
Let's cross our fingers. :)

Quoting: tuubiYep. It feels like corruption of some sort. If you try to restart the game immediately after a crash it will crash again, everytime, in the first minutes of the "relaunch". After a reboot, the crash doesn't occur for quite a while... Until another "corruption".Quoting: DanglingPointerWell I've never had the game crash at all. Only bug I've noticed is sometimes when giving water to thristy wanderers I end up floating down from a few feet back to the ground. I've never died for no reason whatsover.Perhaps. Or perhaps you've been lucky. Just for the record I had my first crash sometime after crossing over to the Dead Barrens, and most of them much further into the game. They seemed to be completely random and happened all over the map though. Looking at all the reports of bugs and crashes on Windows around the web, I doubt these have anything to do with Linux or our drivers.
I'm on AMD radeonSI open source drivers though I can see you've got a GTX960. Perhaps the nvidia driver's buggy.
Valve are looking to gather a list of games that don't work with radeonsi

Quoting: CreakI'm not there yet because of bad AMD choices I made in the past, but I'm looking toward a Ryzen + Vega combo with a lot of hype. If the promises are met by AMD and it's looking good, it's only a matter of time before I make the jump, for sure.Quoting: MohandevirFor sure. Maintenance free, kernel-integrated solution. It becomes a no-brainer for Valve. And, must I add, for the users as well.
