mainly Hearthstone since Faeria has been having graphical issues again. I finally was able to grab Dungeons 2 on sale to check it out. seems fun but nothing really spectacular. I'm looking forward to grabbing Stellaris myself soonish. that looks really promising.
Just bought Warhammer quest deluxe on humble bundle store for $2.99 and vertiginous golf for $4.99. going to give them a go here soon.
Really looking forward to the 1.0 release of Starbound, following their dev blog they have been adding in so much content for this major release that it's mind boggling.
Planet Explorers is finally shaping up to a more stable build now once again since their update to Unity 5. they are creeping closer to a 1.0 build, although very slowly.
Total War: Warhammer is one game I want to buy as soon as it's released for Linux. very much looking forward to this one.
also can't wait for Stardew Valley to be released for Linux.

awesome, chucklefish has shown they seem to know what they are doing. Starbound works flawlessly and has the linux binaries for modding Starbound. so I'm confident this will be really good.

it's to be expected though, since the game was originally developed for directx and not opengl.
as long as mid-range hardware gets 60fps roughly as average then that's good to me. as long as there aren't major frame spikes, then the gameplay should be smooth.

Shock Tactics looks like it mixes Civilization with XCOM, can't wait to play it on Linux

seems like a great idea, I like both games a lot, so I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

all it takes is a few bad apples to ruin the whole bunch. cases like these only destroy credibility of the crowdfunding process for all the other devs out there. it's going to boil down to experienced devs that have good reputations that gain any sort of headway with crowdfunding. all of the small time start-up devs will be SOL because of these shady devs like this one seems to be.

you can download the libglew 1.10 deb manually and install it. it doesn't remove 1.13 and has no conflicts that I can tell.
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glew/1.10.0-3 [External Link]
there is a .deb download link someone left on the reddit post. which I used instead of using the unsecure repo.
http://content.runescape.com/downloads/ubuntu/pool/non-free/r/runescape-launcher/runescape-launcher_2.2.2_amd64.deb [External Link]
this client is available in the AUR for Arch users.
I tried to log in, but when i try to type in the login or the password field I get no response from any sort of input from my keyboard.

i've tested out both since I already had them in my library, both installed and ran fine. SR3 had spikes of fps lag that was slightly noticeable from time to time. I did a challenge in SR3 and after it was done I kept falling through the world in an endless cycle.
but i figured out a work around, which is to continually jump when it resets your character when you hit the bottom. I never experienced this when I originally played. so i'm not sure if it's a Linux specific game bug.
overall though it seems playable. keep in mind SR2 was a port from the xbox to PC, so the controls for the keyboard and mouse are a little odd. but both games worked fine with the steam controller.
Genkibowl VII in SR3 doesn't look like it is released yet for Linux. I loaded SR3 with my old windows save where i've completed everything. I have all the DLC purchased but it doesn't show as installed in the steam DLC interface. not sure why it's not available yet, but I'm sure it will be soon. I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Some early The Talos Principle Vulkan benchmarks

under ~/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d there is the steamoverlay for Vulkan, but I'm not sure how you would initialize it, I think at the game launch?
Aside from that, since Talos is still in development toward Vulkan I would assume the development layers are still in place. which in most regards will make Vulkan perform the same as DX11/OpenGL roughly. It's not until these development layers are removed will Vulkan actually show full performance capabilities.
