I resisted the urge to buy a RPi500 because of the lack of NVMe slot, and I think I will resist the urge to buy this because of the more than double pricing. But It's quite tempting anyway, these devices look so handy for so many tasks, and the 16 GiB RAM upgrade is also welcome.

"FOR ALL PLAYERS AND SCREAMERS", I suppose that means it will be multiplatform.

Not a lawyer, so most likely I'm wrong , but I think this patent should be immediately invalidated, there are for sure tons of prior art.
WinBoat is a new Linux app to run Windows apps with "seamless integration"

Maybe useful for people that absolutely need to run one or two programs that don't properly work with Wine, but otherwise find Linux fulfilling their needs.
For games (that you usually run without running anything else on the PC excepting maybe things like OBS), I suppose dual booting might be a better solution.
For me, none of those will work since I find the hassle of running Windows just too much, and fortunately I don't need any Windows program not running under Wine/Proton.

Why some games on Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck have broken videos and what you can do

I had that problem on some games. Most notable "The Nonary Games", that by default lacks sound on videos, and while experimenting with some other Proton versions, I had that problem. Even with Proton GE, I got some videos to work but not all, that is a shame because I love this game and some videos are a must to follow the story.

I have signed the petition. And I can understand some of the issues. For games with simple matchmaking (e.g. fighting games) it shouldn't be that difficult for them to provide alternatives. But for things like persistent MMORPGs... looks extremely complicated.
Humble Choice is getting another price increase

I have been subscribed in the past and got many great games for a very low price. But IMO value of the games is lower and lower each time. Every month I check the games and if lucky, only one of them interests me, so I started skipping a lot of months ago until I completely unsubscribed.
If this price increase will allow them increasing the value of the games offered, it could be a good thing for me. Otherwise...

Just having Denuvo is enough for me to discard the thing, but the high price, another DRM layer and Randy Pitchfork declarations make it a no-no-no-no.
