Quoting: ZeloxLinux port in the future maybe :D.
with Vulkan, I wouldn't think it would be too difficult. Isn't PS4 basically Linux? Or are they BSDish these days? If they ported it to Linux, I'd totally buy a copy for a friend of mine.

Hello Games continue fixing up Linux issues for No Man's Sky in Steam Play

I have over 300 hours into this game, and I started playing it last year. Easily one of the best games I've played. That they're specifically fixing linux issues makes me glad I got it.

FOSS painting program Krita now has the Linux version on Steam

There are a bunch of brushes and things for Krita to make Bob Ross style paintings. You do need a tablet, though. (Which I don't have.)

Is Steam officially supporting Debian, as well, or are they only the LTS version of Ubuntu?

Ubuntu more and more is reminding me of Apple or Microsoft, in that they have one way of doing things, and you're forced to do it their way. (And because they're the big market share, other smaller distros are forced to go that route, as well.) Slackware gets a bum rap, but it doesn't stand in your way at all. Want to use systemd? You can put it in, if you so choose and are handy at rebuilding things. Want to use Wayland or Gnome? There are packages for it. Don't want to use pulseaudio? OK. PAM? We don't talk about PAM. ;)

Quoting: garpu@liamdawe, which drivers are you using? I get crap performance with the 418 ones, but good performance with it with the 430 drivers.
Yeah my bad, post edited.
Yay! Yeah, things aren't overly optimized yet and turning on tessellation will cause a crash. But it's very playable. I think tessellation is still causing issues for Windows players, though? I believe tessellation is working for AMD users.

NVIDIA 430.14 driver released, DiRT 4 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (Steam Play) get improvements

For me, at least, the 430 tree offers better improvement than the 418 drivers for No Man's Sky. (I've got a 1050ti.) Your mileage may vary. Consult dealer for valid offers. Do not taunt happy fun ball. If happy fun ball starts to smoke, seek shelter and cover head.
