D9VK sees a first actual release for getting Direct3D 9 games running on Vulkan with Wine

I've been playing GW2 with it, and it works remarkably well. Like it's not a slideshow anymore. :)

Easy Anti-Cheat are apparently "pausing" their Linux support, which could be a big problem (updated)

Hrm. I wonder what this means for 7 Days to Die? You can choose to run without EAC, but a lot of servers require it. (Thankfully, a friend turned it off on hers for me. :) )

DXVK 1.1.1 is out with major features, acting as the re-release of 1.1 for Vulkan-based D3D11/10 in Wine

I've been using the 430.09 driver with it, and haven't had problems, but I don't play any Unreal 4 games. Rather, I played a few hours of Path of Exile last night with the combination, and didn't notice any problems. (Things were getting a bit hot when watching videos on twitch at the same time, but twitch always hits my cpu harder than most games. Go figure.)

No need to bottle it all up as Wine 4.7 is out with an updated Mono engine and more

Did someone say GW2? ;)

I saw! I'm waiting on a release of it, because I'm kind of in dependency hell getting a build environment for it.

Any word from ArenaNet about d9vk? I know Blizzard and others have been weird about dxvk. (Blizzard, at least, unbans quickly.)

Elsewhere is an in-development game of crafting, exploration and survival that could be interesting

That looks like they cribbed footage of Minecraft with the Biomes O'Plenty mod and the John Smith textures. (Word changed, it's late here.)

Wine 4.6 is officially out with the start of a Vulkan backend for WineD3D

Yeah new dependency, mingw for PE files shows configure file at build

^_^
Oh, I bet it's for the change in libwine.dll. That would make sense--you just cross-compile them now. Although why would one use WINE dlls on Windows? Wouldn't you use windows dlls on windows?

No Man's Sky runs very nicely on Linux with Steam Play, huge online feature update and VR support coming

Quoting: CorbenI'd like to know if they changed the graphics API. Before it was OpenGL for sure, which worked great on Linux with wine and later with proton. But for VR I guess they had to change to a more recent API. I guess it's Vulkan, but couldn't find anything so far. Well, I bet it'll still be working fine with Steam Play.

I'm a No Man's Sky fan from the beginning. Space games are my very genre ;) And it's so cool how far they've come with their updates. And it's impressive they still release those huge updates for free.
This is my worry, as well, although if they move to dx11, dxvk will likely have us covered. We'll see, though. Maybe Liam or someone can reach out to Hello Games?

The sandbox RPG 'Spoxel' seems like it could be pretty amusing, releasing soon

Are they still revoking beta keys once it goes live?
