Maybe my post was not as direct as the one from Liam, but...
Money rules the world.
I don't like it but this is reality.

Quoting: ShmerlRead my post above, I explain there why my question is. And it's not about publishers obviously, it's about Feral.Yes, I did before I wrote my post.

They are definitely in one way bound to the deal with the publishers.
But whats the problem with Steam/Valve?
Do not forget...
Without Valve linux gaming would NOT EXIST like it is NOW.
Imagine the plenty of games before "Steam for Linux" launched. I think you would not like it.
DRM Software/Games is not evil. It's only a modern copy-protection - thats all and not more.

Quoting: ShmerlRegardless, this topic is not about what DRM is, but about Feral being either DRM inclined, or interested in staying Steam exclusive for some reason.Feral are porters, not game developers.

This news doesn't surprise me.
I know Ubuntu from the beginng. Decades ago I've tested all major distributions...
Redhat (before they sold enterprise versions), Suse, Gentoo, DSL, Mandrake (later Mandriva....), Slackware, ... and always returned to Debian.
From the beginning Ubuntu was simply overbloan and slow like hell compared to the others.
Do you know that Ubuntu is MS Partner? Most of you will know I think.
Somehow the Ubuntu team (maybe only Shuttleworth) think they can do all better than the others and that is their big mistake. They think too much like MS and ignore THE LINUX COMMUNITY.
MS is dieing a slow death and they KNOW IT.
When Ubuntu keeps follow up its selfish path they will vanish.
LINUX IS NOT WINDOWS!!! - IT'S FREEDOM, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILTY - LINUX BELONGS TO ALL OF US!!!
REAL LINUX DEVELOPERS EXCHANGE WITH OTHERS AND DECIDE TOGETHER WHATS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR ALL.
So please Mr. Shuttleworth... don't go the MS way... ask others if your choice/idea is the right one for EVERYONE!

I enjoyed LoG1 VERY much. But if they don't release LoG2 for Linux they lose my attraction for ever.
IMO Almost Human CANNOT do this. It's like a slap in the face to release part 1 but not part2.
This news must be a bad joke!!!!!!
I hope Almost Human rethink their decision an don't turn to ALMOST EVIL.
Sorry for my words, but reading this makes me realy speechless and angry.

Linux is...
1. REAL freedom. You can change, share, improve, contribute, build your own, ...
2. Free. You don't need to pay for it.
3. Leader in server market.
4. Leader in virtualisation (VMware, Xen, KVM, ...). MS Hyper-V is a bad joke compared to them.
5. rock solid.
6. user friendly. In normal circumstances there is no need to install a driver (gaming excluded).
7. easy. Be open minded and you will realize it.
8. doing the job. Yes, forget MS Office, Adobe, ... there are plenty apps doing the same job and better.
9. everywhere when it comes to security, availability, failover, business critical systems, ...
10. my favourite. I use it over 20 years now at home and job.
11. under YOUR control and not the other way round.
12. fast.
13. slim.
14. up-to-date.
15. ...
