PCGamingwiki can be really helpful in determining anti-consumer features, also developers have to declare Denuvo and other DRMs on the store page itself now, as well as third-party accounts and kernel-level anticheat

GOG add support for authenticator apps for two-factor authentication (2FA)

I have absolutely zero interest in opening an account on GOG, or purchasing any game from there, as long as they continue to not have a native Linux client.

I understand your criticism of Steam Guard, while it would be nice to have an alternative, I think the Steam Guard app itself is really good. It shows your login history including IP address and location of the login so you can check for fraudulent activity. It also offers some other nice features such as Remote Download to your PC.

I think it's fixed now, I upgraded both of my Kubuntu machines to Plucky (25.04) yesterday and I know other people in the Discord have done the same.

The glibc 2.41 update has been causing problems for Linux gaming

If anyone is still reading this. Portal 1 has apparently not been updated and doesn't run any more as native. I only noticed it because Ubuntu 25.04 has now pulled in this glibc update. The fix is to switch it to Proton

Steam Deck sales still going strong over three years later

These days I mostly use my Steam Deck as a 'home console' connected to a TV, because while I love it, the tiny screen with 16:10 aspect is my biggest gripe with it. It still runs all of my games supremely, yes even the newest ones such as Indiana Jones and the Last of Us: P2 Remaster. I think it's great for when I want to completely focus on a game without distraction (such as Discord) for hours at a time. Sitting on the couch is also a welcome change to sitting in an office chair for most of the day

I still haven't tried it on the Steam Deck but it sounds promising! It's a very fun game, definitely recommend it.
