A game called "The Finals" gives me bad memories from my student days, so I dunno.

But since they made so much money from Palworld, one would hope they would use it to hire on a few more artists so that the Pokemon ripoff designs can be replaced with less infringing designs and models.
Those examples are pretty conclusive. It's the 3D modeling equivalent of copying a paragraph, changing a few words, and then passing it off as your own work. I suspect, at the very least, the Pal World developers will be forced to remove those critters from the game.

dude providing the evidence rescaled the models to fit.
Reason for doing it was he dislike animal abuse :)
So I can make what is effectively a carbon copy of another 3D modeler's work and call it my own as long as I scale my model up or down? That doesn't sound right, but perhaps I've misunderstood what you mean by "rescaled".
I'm finding it all quite confusing. Maybe it's a reptilian critter and they actually mean putting different scales on it.

Well, I suppose if you want to both own a Steam Deck and be a tinkerer, they become issues. One use-case's feature is another use-case's bug.
"Tinkerers" are a niche in OSs, that's why Mac and Windows are dominant. Linux will only be popular if everything works out of the box without tinkering, and people that want that will have it in niche external and small distros.
So, did you notice that you're commenting on an article about an external small distro people can use instead of the everything-works-out-of-the-box SteamOS? I'm not sure what your point is here.
And? Most people that use Bazzite want it due to Valve not yet releasing SteamOS for PCs. SteamOS at its core it is a out of the box experience.
What?! Why would they want that? SteamOS isn't designed to be a general-use PC operating system. Using it that way would require quite a bit of tinkering. If you want an "out of the box" experience on PC, use Mint.

Quoting: mad_mesaAya are a Windows OEM. So they have almost certainly signed an agreement with Microsoft that includes language that in return for lower prices for Windows, they agree to (among other things) obtain a license for Microsoft's patents on every Windows-compatible system they sell. Shipping a licensed Windows install on the device grants the license, anything else pre-installed requires an additional fee paid to Microsoft to license their patents.

They probably thought that if SteamOS (or their own Linux distribution) didn't violate Microsoft's patents they wouldn't have to pay, and Microsoft reminded them that doesn't get them out of the terms of the agreement because those devices can still run Windows so it wouldn't matter.

The only way out of it is to not be a Windows OEM at all, use some kind of Windows-incompatible boot process, or fight Microsoft in court over the terms of a contract they entered into, all of which Aya aren't willing to do.
I suppose you could spin off a subsidiary to do it. The subsidiary could contract out the manufacturing part to . . . you, what a co-incidence.

Seems more of an indictment of brand loyalty and its insanity.
Remember, kids--brands aren't loyal back.

This is crazy. You never know what's gonna turn into an avalanche, huh? With numbers like that, I wonder if it will spur a decline in Fortnite. I wonder if this is catching on in Asia. I wonder if that means that next month's Steam stats will show a Linux decline as the "simplified Chinese" percentage jumps up.

Quoting: fagnerlnI never had luck on OldUnreal, it just runs a bit weird, however WINE makes a good job here.
As weird as it sounds, Linux native files of the OldUnreal need to be installed via Wine. Most Linux libs are in Help folder. You can put them in System folder one by one with trial error method until it finally launches.
That sounds like one of those things that as you say I can do, but will not, instead playing some other game or doing something completely different with my time.
