Yeah, that was one of the pains previously. There were some workarounds, one could delete some file (dll?) and then it worked better.
I tried to play a few games, lost all of them (I didn't play for a while and I am a bit rusty), but it didn't stall. So, the issues are probably sorted out.

Ah! I had already wondered why I was asked which monitor to use for sharing. It wasn't a big deal, but I wondered. Makes sense to disable it for now till that kink is sorted out.

Fantastic game and really the nicest, helpful and humble developers out there.
The story of the game is pretty awesome and really well thought out. Even the names of the robots are well thought out, I mean, Nullbuilt really means something. If you like point&click adventures, I can really recommend it. If you don't, but like a good story, then grab a walkthrough and enjoy the writing.

I noticed with 6.3.5 some intro videos started to play. At least I think that it was 6.3.5. Did anybody else notice that?
Narrative-heavy adventure game Near-Mage announced from the dev of Gibbous

I played Gibbous a while ago, I liked it in general:
- Really nice graphics
- Good sound, nice voices
- Riddles were good
- No technical issues at all
The only thing I didn't really like was the humor. They tried really, really hard (probably too hard) to create some jokes, but I didn't think it was funny. But maybe that's just me.

A new Valve game for the Steam Deck? It's not out of the realm of possibility

They could publish games optimized for the deck. Not exclusive, mind you, but the controls, UI, resolution and everything, optimized for the deck. I mean, I am doubtful you will be able to play monsters like Stellaris on the deck. The interface will probably be too small and it won't be fun. The same will probably be true for lots of games. Works, but isn't fun.
So, having a couple of games that are optimized for the Deck, maybe from Valve, maybe from partners would be a smart move.

The Valve Steam Deck, lots of excitement and plenty to think about for Linux gaming

Well, we will see. I honestly give this far better chances then the Steammachines. I mean, I liked the concept, but the execution was really bad. It was kinda doomed to fail.
But this toy here does everything right. I am personally not really interested in it, but I can see the appeal. And there's a ton of games on Steam that should work on that device. On top of that, you also can stream a ton of things from the PC if the Deck is too small or not powerful enough.
So, I hope Valve sells indeed millions of it ...

The developers of Primordia and Strangeland are the nicest devs I have ever met. And humble squared.
Strangeland is an interesting game, a bit on the weird side, it is simply not the average run-of-the-mill point and click adventure. Not even close. I have to confess, I liked Primordia more, the post-robocalyptic setting was simply awesome.
But if you like pixel art and adventures, both are certainly worth a try.

I really liked Kathy Rain and the ending was actually the only major weakness it had.
The interface of the old version was already really nice, I especially liked the notebook where you keep topics and the topics are updated. Topics can be places and names and you can combine them e.g. with the phonebook or ask people about it. Very nice. A lot of the game is solved by talking to people, not by combining items. The things you have to do are mostly clever, there are only a few places where I was truly stuck (e.g. when I had to put an audiotape into the scanner to get an audiofile).
I hope, they don't change the interface too much, it was already one of the better ones. I don't want to spoil anything about the ending, but I am glad that it will be improved (changed?).

The full game Backbone is mostly the prologue. The story afterwards is a) short and b) linear. And incomplete.
What's angering me is the open letter from the developers. I mean, an apology, any honest text explaining that the run out of time and money or something like that. It's hard, it's kickstarter, so it's ok. But nothing like that.
Instead they wrote: The game is exactly how we wanted it to be (seriously? You are kidding, right?), art is subjective and to quote: "Don’t ask us about what it all meant - ask your own unknowable shining heart, sit with your feelings and truly feel them, talk to people."
That's like asking me to contemplate the following deep and spiritual piece of art: "The bus driver walks into a supermarket and the alien eats a cake. The End.". When you ask your unknowable, shining heart what the sentence means, remember: Art is subjective.
The sad thing is, the art is indeed exceptional. Play the demo, it's great. But the writing is mostly bad, the dialogs are mostly flat and meaningless. Characters have no depth at all. And whatever dialog options you chose, the outcome is always the same.
