Same recycled moral panic, I'm shocked anyone older than gen alpha would be surprised by such a development.

If you're wondering why Dave Oshry is here, the developer has joined NewBlood's upcoming Fallout-like RPG as an artist.

Valve gets pressured by payment processors with a new rule for game devs and various adult games removed

Think about how you would feel if games with guns or blood had to be removed because suddenly PayPal or Mastercard didn't like them. This is dangerous.

This has gone into my wishlist, but if there's a chance...

If I can pick homebrew then my favorite NES game is Alwa's Awakening. If not, I'll take Blaster Master as well.

ACTION GAME MAKER confirm plans for Linux support for the editor and game exports

This shows potential for an official Linux RPG Maker in the future, that's very exciting! I'm also glad to see more Godot based engines, the industry needs the giants to have at least a little less control over everything.

The game is quite blurry on default settings but this is easily remedied by just changing them a little.

Steam Deck / SteamOS hits 19,000 games rated Verified and Playable

Have you ever tried to run Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions on the Steam Deck? Sometimes, there are games listed as Unplayable that end up working fine and I've tried this on a couple of Unplayable games that I own on Steam.
I did try myself and the game would consistently crash when Ultimate Spider-Man came on, as well as have glitches during other segments. I tried to follow another guide and the same crash would happen, or the game would outright not launch. Looking around posts online it seems most people can't get it to work either, so I really have no clue of how that video was captured.

The Deck emulates the PS3 version of the game well though, so I can make do with that if I wanna play it, though the visuals are much clearer natively.

So far only one of the games I'm interested in has been unplayable on Deck, and that is Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions which was already kinda shoddy on my windows computer and probably just isn't fixed due to it being delisted. I hope someday proton happens to fix its issues by coincidence, but otherwise its been smooth sailing.

ZOTAC GAMING ZONE Handheld getting a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 prototype with a Manjaro Linux-based OS

How come ZOTAC of all companies is the one considering that the trackpads are a good feature to have? The lack of trackpads and prices is the main reason I have little interest on other handhelds that are not the Deck, but I also am not fond of ZOTAC on themselves. Hopefully others take notes.

SteamOS 3.7.6 Preview for Steam Deck released, fixing a DOOM: The Dark Ages launch issue
12 May 2025 at 2:26 pm UTC

I can't imagine playing Doom on a Steam Deck would be a particularly pleasant thing to do.
DOOM 2016/Eternal worked really well on the Steam Deck. Not only are the games actually very fine tuned for controller support despite being fast paced FPS games, but the Deck helps even more with gyro and the advanced control configurations it gets by default. The games were even well received on the Switch, so it is a shame that Dark Ages doesn't get good handheld support as of now.

The ROG Ally barely holds 30FPS at the absolute lowest so the Deck definitely won't be playing this game well. Forced ray-tracing is probably holding it back on the handhelds, for shame.
