Back before Y2K I used to play a lot of "Wing Commander" games and I´ve really missed something like the "WC-series" or "WC: Privateer/Freelancer". If this is something similar then I´ll definitely give it a go.
The thing that makes me a little hesitant, is how this game has passed completely under my radar, usually you expect a game that´s good/promising to make waves and you expect yourself to pay enough attention to "catch the waves", if you catch the drift. ;-)

I´ll almost certainly get it as well. How quickly will depend on the price. I played the first "Homefront" game on windows and despite the negativity surrounding it, I still felt I got my moneys worth in FPS entertainment. Of course when I bought it, I believe it was priced at around 15 euro.
My main issue with that game was nothing more dramatic than that I wished it had been 20-25% longer for more prolonged gameplay. So unless this game is significantly worse, buying it is a no brainer.

Only played for a couple of hours so far and found it greatly enjoyable. In a way it feels like playing a retro, indie version of xcom, with the (simplified) turn-based combat, the base-building, advancing the skills of your troopers and so forth.
I will certainly play this title a lot more, but given the bugs you speak of I think I´ll switch back over to Master of Orion & Stellaris for a while.

Seems quite nice. Reminds me a bit of the old "Alien Breed" games only with more modern graphics. So this is probably a purchase!
EDIT: Oops, just saw that it´s turn-based, so no frantic shooting like "AB" I guess. Well, that´s actually even better in most cases, so it´s still good.

Weirdness galore! The first question that pops up in my mind is whether this support guy actually knows what he is talking about. It wouldn´t be the first time when different people from the same company gives out contradictory information because one person really knows the score while the other one just makes a "best guess" since he assumes that he knows all there is to know.
Unfortunatly, unless someone directly involved with the whole mess speaks up, we´ll just have to keep on guessing.

Sadly it looks like Shadow Warrior 2 won't be a day-1 Linux release

Depressing, I was(am) really eager to play this game and despite the multitude of AAA disappointments that have struck this year I really thought FWH would deliver. Still I hope it´s just a temporary snafu.

Darn, still haven´t bought this game yet. First I kept waiting for official support to be announced on the steam store-page and then when that never seemed to come about...I forgot about it.
Guess I´ll pick it up before the expansion arrives.

Sounds like a bit of "Deus Ex" possibly mixed with some inspiration from "SOMA". Could be really nice although I admit that the useage of so many "big words" (transhumanism, separation, disjuncture, reunification, existential, post-material) leaves me wondering if the game can do justice to the description.

Yup, this looks very interesting indeed. I´ll almost certainly buy this title probably as soon as it´s released.
Although...I do agree about the voice acting, it´s almost giving me "parody-vibes" like when some kid in a youtube video attempts to imitate an adult of somewhat advanced years. The other two voices aren´t that great either, they sound far too stilted and unnatural given what they are saying. Still, for me voice-acting is mostly of minor importance. In most cases I simply read the subtitles while keeping the sound volume relatively low anyway.

Really nice game and the scenario with Chloe in ep4 was really heartwrenching, unfortunatly I think that was also the point where I started to lose interest in the plot. Before that, Max special ability was like some type of superpower from the tv-series "Heroes" (or some other metahuman/mutant/accidental power). However, at that point the "feel" of the story switched tracks over to the magical, mythical or karmic arena. Basically it felt like I was just playing a modern variation of the classic "Monkey´s Paw"(link [External Link] story.
This lessened my enjoyment significantly for the rest of the game. :(
