Pillars Of Eternity, The RPG Aims For A Same-day Linux Release On March 26th
15 Jan 2015 at 7:52 pm UTC

This has been (and still is) my most anticipated game, ever since the kickstarter was first announced. At this point it seems almost impossible for it to live up to my expectations but Obsidian has been a favorite developer of mine for many years, so *maybe* there's a chanse.

March just can't arrive soon enough... ;-)

C4 Engine Drops Linux Support, Developer Says Linux Is Inferior

Lol, this news was a little bit troubling, until I actually looked up the kind of games that uses this engine I'd never heard of. Meh, it's no loss for Linux as a gaming os.

Cognition & Moebius Linux Ports Started As Developer Updates Unity

I loved "Cognition" and I was quite satisfied with "Moebius", in the case of the latter game there were flaws & weaker parts but the story was great and left me very much desiring a sequel since the story-concept left so much unexplored potential.

The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing 1 Linux Port Is On Hold

Hope they get around to finishing it soon.

I played this title and was pleasantly surprised, while I generally don't care much for "Diablo-style" games, this one was quite entertaining. Much detail and character customization, a rather charming "Fantasy Transylvania" type of world and lots of funny tounge-in-cheek pop culture references.

Jane Jensen's 'Moebius' Finally Appears To Be Arriving For Linux

This is a pretty good game, definitly one of the better "point & click" adventures out there. In particular the storyline is both interesting and imaginative. The locations are varied and the puzzles are pretty nice as well.

The only drawbacks the game had were:
1. The gamelength, it felt a little short. A couple of extra hours playtime would have been nice.
2. The main character, who is frankly kind of weird. Behaving in a way more fitting a really grumpy old man (between 70-90 y.o.), even though he´s supposed to be in his thirties or so.

As mentioned above, both of Jane Jensens other "steam-games" "Gray Matter" and the "Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary" remake, are better. And "Cognition" from Phoenix Online Studios is also a superb game.

However, this game is still a must play for any lover of classical adventures with a well thought out plot and lots of atmosphere.

GOL Cast: Maintaining the Law of Post-Apocalyptic World in Wasteland 2

I´ve played it for 25 hours now and I´ve absolutely loved it. Very addictive and fun game that really reminds you of the old Fallout-games.

Speaking of the golden oldies, I just noticed that "Baldur´s Gate 2 :EE" showed up in my steam-library in ubuntu. :D
