Aspyr Media Are Teasing A New Game, They Promise Many Penguin Smiles

Quoting: metcardSleeping dogs... but i've said too much.
That would be great! Even though I've spent lots of time with that game and played through every bit of it, I wouldn't mind spending a dozen more hours in Hong Kong. Also, I never bought the "Definitive Edition", so I could buy that if it came to Linux.

Aspyr Media Are Teasing A New Game, They Promise Many Penguin Smiles

Quoting: zimplex1Dream Choice: GTA V
Next Best Choice: Skyrim
Runner-Up Choice: Deus Ex (HE and/or MD)
Even if it's none of these it's probably going to be good, and I'll probably buy it.
Sounds fine to me, although I just saw that I have spent 283 hours with Skyrim & DLC, so I think I'd prefer Fallout3 / New Vegas, as "Next Best" choice. As for the "Runner-Up", I'd also be happy to have the original Deus Ex with the Revision-mod in Linux-native.

Dying Light Reviewed On Linux, What I Really Think
14 Apr 2015 at 7:47 am UTC

The end utterly ruined the experience for me.
I actually didn't have much issue with the ending, sure it was a bit anticlimactic and the qte-sequence with button pushing felt pretty cheap, but on the whole I was happy that it left plenty of room for sequels/expansions/story-dlc.

In most cases, my idea of *Bad Ending*, is either something that makes absolutely no sense as far as the game-story is concerned or something involving a Hulk/Terminator-hybrid that you need to reload 8-15 times before you finally get to see the end-movie/game-credits. In other words, when I've played through a game I want the game to be *over*, I don't want a metaphorical brick-wall in the form of a super-boss, that I need to bash my head against over and over before I can exit he game.

Steam Hardware Survey For March 2015

Bloody annoying...

I started up my windows partition for the first time in several weeks (only to keep the system updated) when this survey popped up. I couldn't remember if your OS was a multiple choice question or if it was automatically detected...so I closed the survey box without replying. -1 linux user.

The Banner Saga For Linux Is Coming Close To A Release

I loved the graphical style and the atmosphere of this game, the story was also fairly imaginative. However, I also felt it was too linear and the turn-based combat system was not among the better examples of its kind.

Still, nice to have another fairly high-profile/well-known title on linux.

Prepare A New Set Of Pants, Outlast Releases For Linux On Tuesday

This game was pretty good, the whole run/hide aspect added a good deal to the "horror-feel", compared to the "normal" horror-games where you shoot/blast/whack/slice/pummel and generally abuse anything that looks even remotely scary.

Shadow Warrior FPS Releasing For Linux Next Week, Promises Swords & Lovely Visuals

Quoting: KeizgonReally glad to see this one coming.

Wish Wolfenstein: The New Order would see the same fate. :/
Hm, yeah "W:TNO" was a very nice game and I'd really like the upcoming "Old Blood" expansion package... :-(

Shadow Warrior FPS Releasing For Linux Next Week, Promises Swords & Lovely Visuals

Sweeet!

Now it would be even sweeter if they'd port "Hard Reset: Extended Edition" as well. Sure, Shadow Warrior is better but HR:EE is a great little fps in its own right. I wouldn't mind replaying that, when I felt for just a bit of frantic, mindless shooting. (as a change of pace)

Pillars Of Eternity RPG Released For Linux, Early Port Report Included

I've played for 3 hours on Ubuntu 14.10 and so far everything works great, no bugs, no crashes and even starting/exiting the game goes quickly (something I especially enjoy, since I like to play in short sessions like: 30 min gaming->30 min break->30 min gaming-> and so on)

The game also seems to have gotten a whole lot of praise from many sources:

PC Gamer - 92/100
FZ.se - 5/5
GameWatcher - 9.0/10
Pixel Dynamo - 8.8/10
Stevivor - 8.5/10
MMORPG.com - 9/10
Escapist Magazine - 5/5
DealSpwn - 9/10
Gamereactor - 8/10
Den of Geek - 4.5/5
PixelDynamo - 8.8/10
GameCrate - 8/10
PCGamesN - 10/10

Shadowgate (2014) Point & Click Adventure Released For Linux
26 Mar 2015 at 12:10 pm UTC

"Shadowgate is one of the most well-known and beloved point-and-click adventure titles in gaming history. Apparently, I'm going to be honest and throw my hands up as I've never heard of it"

Lol, same thing here and "point and click" has always been a beloved genré of mine, having played everything released by "Sierra" and "Lucasarts" and tons of other adventures as well.

Still, I guess it's not so strange, since the time I've spent with mac-computers can be counted as a few days at most and the time I've spent with Nintendo-hardware, in a few hours.

I guess I'll give this title a go at some point.
