Very nice! I had this game on my "to-buy-list", before i switched to linux. This was a game that I had very little hope it would ever show up as a linux-title.

Seems pretty interesting.
However, I'm starting to feel a bit swamped with "turn-based strategy titles". Pillars of Eternity, with it's RTwP (Real-Time with Pause) combat felt like a most welcome relief from everything turn-based.
Ironic, since i feel that it was not long ago at all, that I was desperate for a glorious return of games like "X-COM" or "Wasteland 2" and would have happily purchased anything along those lines.
Anyway, this looks polished enough to add to my "wishlist".

Interstellar Marines FPS Big Update Due This Month, New Online Modes

Sort of like MassEffect, only with FPS instead of TPS and probably less movie-like gameplay. (and hopefully no standard skynet/replicant/cylons/shodan/borg or other synthetic a.i.-menace)

Quoting: valczirGreat! I really don't have any interest in any variant of multiplayer, but a singleplayer game where you play as a part of a spec-ops task force in a space/sci-fi setting and get to battle various threats in different missions, that would be great.Quoting: stssYeah, that was my understanding, as well. Just to be safe, I did some quick searching - seems like they have a pretty clear plan laid out here [External Link]. The devs posted a bit later, stating that they're releasing story stuff in chunks, and that the story will probably be "finished" (i.e. all story chunks released) in 2016-17.Quoting: FeistI would buy/would have bought this game in a second if it was a Singleplayer game. However, if I have interpreted things correctly it's mostly a Multiplayer game, with a "token" singleplayer-mode that (currently) does not offer much of a story/campaign/adventure.You might be able to say that's the case right now. But I thought their goal actually the opposite, that they wanted it to be primarily a single player game with multiplayer on the side.
Or has the situation changed since the last time I tried to get a feel for this game?
I might be mixing this game up with another one, but I could have sworn a developer of this game commented that they only have a larger multiplayer component right now because it's just easier to do once you have all the game mechanics working. But creating a single player campaign still requires a lot of work beyond that

Aspyr Media Are Teasing A New Game, They Promise Many Penguin Smiles

I've posted in a number of "Linux-port?"-threads for japanese games (Valkyria Chronicles, Deadly Premonition, Resident Evil, Trails in the Sky, etc. etc.) but I can't recall if I have ever seen some kind of response/reply.

Quoting: Keizgon@Aspyr_BlairI am actually a bit curious about this as well...
I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm curious about something. Have you guys (or anybody else in this business) ever had success requesting to port Japanese made games? Or is there a cultural/language barrier behind such companies to make this near impossible in the future?

Quoting: metcardSleeping dogs... but i've said too much. That would be great! Even though I've spent lots of time with that game and played through every bit of it, I wouldn't mind spending a dozen more hours in Hong Kong. Also, I never bought the "Definitive Edition", so I could buy that if it came to Linux.

Quoting: zimplex1Dream Choice: GTA VSounds fine to me, although I just saw that I have spent 283 hours with Skyrim & DLC, so I think I'd prefer Fallout3 / New Vegas, as "Next Best" choice. As for the "Runner-Up", I'd also be happy to have the original Deus Ex with the Revision-mod in Linux-native.
Next Best Choice: Skyrim
Runner-Up Choice: Deus Ex (HE and/or MD)
Even if it's none of these it's probably going to be good, and I'll probably buy it.
Dying Light Reviewed On Linux, What I Really Think

In most cases, my idea of *Bad Ending*, is either something that makes absolutely no sense as far as the game-story is concerned or something involving a Hulk/Terminator-hybrid that you need to reload 8-15 times before you finally get to see the end-movie/game-credits. In other words, when I've played through a game I want the game to be *over*, I don't want a metaphorical brick-wall in the form of a super-boss, that I need to bash my head against over and over before I can exit he game.

The end utterly ruined the experience for me.I actually didn't have much issue with the ending, sure it was a bit anticlimactic and the qte-sequence with button pushing felt pretty cheap, but on the whole I was happy that it left plenty of room for sequels/expansions/story-dlc.

Bloody annoying...
I started up my windows partition for the first time in several weeks (only to keep the system updated) when this survey popped up. I couldn't remember if your OS was a multiple choice question or if it was automatically detected...so I closed the survey box without replying. -1 linux user.

I loved the graphical style and the atmosphere of this game, the story was also fairly imaginative. However, I also felt it was too linear and the turn-based combat system was not among the better examples of its kind.
Still, nice to have another fairly high-profile/well-known title on linux.
