Republique Remastered, A Beautiful Stealth Action Game Could Come To Linux
26 Feb 2015 at 10:23 am UTC Likes: 2

This looks *very* interesting! Although I've never heard of the game, the graphics looks nice and the story seems really promising. Reminds me a bit of "Dreamfall" and perhaps even a tiny bit of "Dishonored".

Would most likely buy this game instantly if it comes to linux.

A Look At What Linux Games We Will See In 2015 And Beyond
15 Feb 2015 at 1:35 pm UTC

"Darkest Dungeon" a very stylish and promising rpg, is supposed to be released for linux, although not at the same time as the initial windows release in Q1.

"Serpent in the Staglands", another very promising rpg with a linux release soonish.

"Outcast 1.1." Not a remake or sequel, but an improved version of the original is supposed to come to linux in 2015.

I'm also eagerly awaiting news about "Endless Legend" & "Endless Space", with some luck one of those might show up in 2015 too.

Techland See Sense On Dying Light Modding & There's Hope For The Linux Version

Sounds nice!

Sadly, they'll probably be too late in patching to benefit me much. I'm currently 35 hours into the game and although I considered waiting for improvements via patches, I was simply having far to much fun to stop. On the brighter side, I haven't suffered a single crash and/or freeze during my playtime and not a single "progress-stopping" bug yet either. (not counting the inability to secure certain safe-zones)

So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll hurry, or I just might reach the "end-credits" before the next patch. ;-)

So much goodness on it's way! These are some of my favorite coming-to-linux kickstarter projects (aside from the big names like Pillars, Darkest Dungeon & Torment):

Aspyr's Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remaster Is Real And It's Out, We Have Keys For You [Key hunt is over]

Lol, I was 15 minutes too fast for this competition, since I bought the game as soon as I saw it was up. Still, I think I'm almost happier with this situation, because I very much want to use my money to support Aspyr in the bringing of more wonderful ports like this. :-)

Dying Light Released For Linux, Some Thoughts, You May Want To Wait

A minor curious thing I just noticed. This game has achivements as well as trading cards, both of which are working as they should. Yet no game activity is registered under the "Activity"-tab, nor under the "Profile"-tab in steam.

Weird, I don't think that has ever happened before.

Otherwise, the game works pretty well, with no troublesome bugs after 3 hours playtime. I did have to move down to 720p once I was out in the city though, due to my weak system-specs.

Dying Light Released For Linux, Some Thoughts, You May Want To Wait

I've only played for about 40 minutes by now, so I don't have that many impressions to share. However, since even playing the game at all, should technically be quite beyond my computer specs, I can't feel anything but pleased with my initial experience.

My specs:
AMD FX-4100
Nvidia GTX650
340.65 proprietary driver
8 MB RAM

Playing at 1920x1080 with medium textures, low shadows, AA on, no motion blur,no ambient occlusion.

The game has this far been running pretty smooth, with no difficulty running around, fighting or crafting. I expect things will take a serious turn for the worse, once I enter the open, outdoors game-world but considering that I never expected to play this game "for real" at all before my computer was upgraded...no complaints.

EDIT: There was just a 85mb patch, so maybe the issue with "the mouths" has been fixed.

Dying Light Is Now Confirmed For Linux, Bring It On Techland

Bought it!

I may not be able to play it in a decent way until I upgrade my graphics next month (considering buying gtx960), but I really wanted to show my support for their Linux initiative.

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered pops up on Amazon, has a Tux on the cover
24 Jan 2015 at 9:15 pm UTC

I *loved* this atmospheric adventure-title on windows back in the days, in fact I liked it so much that I was mayor league pissed and felt almost betrayed, when it became clear that the next (similar) production "Heavy Rain", would be a playstation exclusive.

Anyway, if the tux rumor is true this title is a must have/play for everyone!

Dying Light From Techland Has A Little Hint About Linux Support

Absolutely great!

I almost bought "ultimate edition" straight away, however when I looked at the sys-reqs, I saw that I probably need a better cpu (amd fx 4100) and most likely a better gpu (gtx650) as well, actually a new HD (10gb left after 40gb install) wouldn't hurt either.

Well...I *have* played some titles with computer-specs that were a bit lower than "minimum requirements" in the past, without having a bad experience at all. Although that wasn't in Linux and in this case it feels like a bit of an expensive gamble.

Lol, new gpu/HD were part of my plans for february anyway but I think I'll hold off on this title for a little longer
