I have a lot of respect for Croteam since The Talos Principle, and although FPSs are not really my favourite game genre I'll likely pick up SS4 when it's out. If nothing else, then to help finance The Talos Principle 2!

Big publishers buying small studios is never a good thing for the customer. Do we really want a few large publishers only and not small independent studios with creative freedom?

This is the first time I've tried the monthly bundle, Hearts of Iron IV made me make the jump. Does anyone know if I'll still get the late unlocks if I go ahead and cancel my subscription immediately? Their FAQ seems to say yes:

Q: If I cancel, will I still keep the games I have received?

Yes! You will keep all of the games you have paid for. If you cancel before a monthly releases you will still receive the rest of the games once the monthly has launched.

Can anyone confirm that I'll still get the late unlocks? If yes, I'll just go and download all the games from the Trove and then cancel.

Did you see what all of them except the early cogs have? Yes, a tumblehome. Don't design them without. And what they don't have? An extremely high poop, without also having an extremely high forecastle. Also, they are not straight in the middle like a modern freighter, but curved outward.

But lack of tumblehome, an unbalanced high poop and a straight middle seem to be the hallmark of fantasy-ships, and it always looks like crap.

And of course, they have rooms & cabins. Which, apart from some storage-closets in the forecastle and some cabins in the back, ships didn't have.

Early medieval ships and late medieval cargo ships are usually all storage and no real accommodations (hang your hammock wherever), while late-medieval warships tend to be all guns (yes, guns are earlier than plate armour), and for guns you need lots of free space, so the decks are again, completely open.

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one irritated by this! I build model sailing ships as a hobby, and sometimes I facepalm due to the stupid fantasy ship designs. The worst is, everyone wants the ship's wheel to be on the poop deck in the worst possible location where a shot of grape can completely wipe it and the helmsman out!
Anyway, back to topic: I've been waiting for this game to release, but since they just recently announced 4 DLCs I think I'll wait to pick it up until I can get the complete version with all DLCs. I really see no idea to get it now, only to have to replay it when the DLCs are released.

For once I might actually pass on the ebooks and get a game instead; I still haven't bought Xcom 2, so I'll try it out this weekend and buy it if I like it.
The python books are tempting, but there doesn't seem to be any really good ones I the bundle this time.

I actually bought it this afternoon but had to ask for a refund: I got ~12fps in the menu with a laggy mouse on lowest graphics settings (and everything up to ultra). To be honest, I didn't try different drivers to see if it helped, I just looked on the support forum to see if anyone else had had the same issue, and then asked for a refund.
Nothing was running in the background, and the system is a Ryzen 1700 with 16GB ram and a GTX660. I haven't had any issue in any other game I've tried (brand new system).

Also, the game didn't shut down properly when exiting, but stayed as a zombie process that I had to kill.

I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from getting this game, it looks very fun, just stating that it didn't run on my system.
