I'm considering buying a Ryzen 1600 or 1700 very soon, would it be worthwhile waiting a few months for a possible price drop?
Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion is out expanding the game quite a lot

I might buy the DLC just to get back into the game. I played it a LOT 2-3 years ago and did almost everything, visited all planets and moons (some just flyby's), Apollo-style Duna missions etc, and then grew tired of the game.
The new parts may be reason enough for me to go back and visit Mün, though.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition release date announced for March 27th, day-1 Linux support

I'll probably buy the game anyway though as I played it a lot back when it came out (I still have the CDs), and it's a pain getting it to work on Linux these days. The original campaign was very boring, but the expansion packs were great.
EDIT: found the video here [External Link], however it sounds like the new graphics are merely an experiment and not what will be in the release.

Quoting: FeistWhere did you see this? I haven't seen any indication that the graphics are this enhanced, everything they've shown till date have been very modest enhancements, and barely perceptible in screen shots.
Wow, these are some pretty neat enhancements. I was just a little concerned that they'd settle for the "bare minimum", where graphical enhancements are concerned. This level of improvement is above & beyond what I hoped for. (although I assume it'll still be some time before the whole game is up to snuff graphically)

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire gets a release date

There's a lot of information to assimilate in the beginning, and having to be cruel and evil can be off-putting as well. You can however be relatively benign in most circumstances and not hardcore evil.

Quoting: wojtek88Give it some more time. I had a hard time liking it in the beginning too, but after about 10 hours I started to get it and enjoy it.Quoting: valczirI'm still debating in my head whether or not I liked Tyranny better than Pillars. Either way, those two games are my favorites in nearly a decade. I'd definitely agree that Pillars had its issues, but every single game on the planet does - one's favorite games are always just games that have issues one can stomach.I finished Pillars of Eternity + White March part I and II in 192 hours according to Steam. In Tyranny I have 9.5 hours so far and I can't start enjoying it. I don't know why to be honest, but I love PoE, but Tyranny? Not so much...
I'm really excited for Pillars II. I'm hoping for some of Tyranny's features to seep into it.

I'll definitely buy Pillars of Eternity II when it's out and the first few reviews have trickled in. I got burned on Tides of Numenera and will never preorder a game again.

Pillars has in my opinion the best combat mechanics, and Tyranny the best world and story.

I've been wanting to play this for a long time, but there's never been any good sale on it. At least now I can play part of the game for free! :-)

I played it a few years ago and I found the gameplay to be absolutely abhorrent and nonsensical, and the story to be rather bland. It's not that I can't get emotional, but the story just didn't resonate with me. I won't spoil it here, everyone should have the chance to experience the game and judge it for themselves, but there was nothing in it that I found particular intelligent or touching. Sure, it was a little touching, it's not that I didn't feel a thing, but the ending in particular was just bad.
I'd say, play it and judge for yourself. My opinion is obviously in the minority, most seem to love the game.

Quoting: stabbyjonesI just want to say how truly terrible this game is.Are you referring to To The Moon? In that case I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't like it!
Rpgmaker walking simulator with a hideously boring story.

I bought a Chromebook half a year ago and run Linux on it from a microSD card. The plan was to install Linux permanently but I actually like using ChromeOS for the occasional web surfing and youtubing. Still, I use my Linux install for all serious stuff (developing etc).
About the stats: I wish they were true!
Forgot to add: I'm in Europe and bought the Chromebook from Amazon.
