Civ 5 segfaults at start since I upgraded to a Ryzen 1700. I believe it's a combination of too many(?) cores and too new GCC version.
Because of this I haven't even considered buying Civ 6.
I believe it's a known issue (many people have it on the steam forums), but I haven't seen a patch for it in half a year.

According to Kotaku, Microsoft is close to buying Obsidian

Quoting: scaineSeagulls and Aurora. Isn't there an Aurora in Subnautica? And seagulls would make sense...?I wish! This is a game I've been wanting to play for a long time.
It has issues under Steamplay too. Fingers crossed for this.

I just stupidly did rm * on the root partition while trying to migrate to a new M.2 ssd. I stopped it within 2 seconds of having issued the command but already 8GB had been deleted, including everything in /bin and /usr/bin... :D
Luckily my last automatic backup was only 10 hours old, so I'm already back up and running with no data loss.

Quoting: HmeGrabbed a copy of DOOM (2016) for 7€, thinking I would test this whole proton thing not expecting much...Where did you find it at that price?
IT RUNS SO SMOOTH!

And here I was thinking it ran surprisingly well yesterday! :-D
Granted, all the games I tried were 4+ years old, but still.

This is great news to me: it means I can finally play all those old games I have and the ones I got from bundles.
I most likely won't buy non-native games in the future though, it's just a little too risky. Who knows if they'll still work tomorrow?
I guess I'll be firing up Civ 4 and Skyrim this afternoon :-)

Also, Hard West is at a crazy 2€ on Steam. It runs ok on my Linux system, though the FPS is not that high.
I also picked Tropico 5 Complete up for 7,77€ at gamesplanet.fr.

I bought a cherry keyboard with blue switches a few years back, and it's a keyboard I'll never stop using. Sure, it might be loud, but it's incredibly good for typing. Also, no annoying RGB lights, just plain boring black design ;-)

Sure, the graphics and music is nice, but the game itself just isn't very interesting in my opinion.

Quoting: TcheySame same here, I've given the game several tries but just get bored and never finish it.Quoting: tuubiThe game is aesthetically very pleasing, but I just couldn't push myself to finish it. I guess I simply wasn't having fun. Couldn't say why exactly. On paper the game should be right up my alley.Same here, i couldn't find the fun, even if the game fits perfectly my check-list-for-games-i-should-love
