@such I thought the same at one point. But I saw it had this thing called hardcore mode, which turns off most emulator advantages such as save states and rewinds. It still lets you use fast forward so you can skip cutscenes with it (thank goodness).
And I've had a lot more fun with it then I thought I would.
And hardcore mode is good way to keep the temptation of save states. Which does develop a bad habit of using it if you get annoyed at a game.
I would say give it a go. And if it truly isn't for you, then you will know for certain. I thought I wouldn't like it either.

Well that's good. The moment I heard the developer went to jail I thought the game had little chance to survive.
Glad I'm wrong.

Does this mean the WINEDLLOVERRIDES command is no longer needed? That would make modding some games less of a headache.

While this account that I'm using is new, I have viewed this site for years.
And is one of main reasons I took an interest in Linux in the first place. As I've grown tired of Microsoft's mishandling of Windows. Ironically one of which is AI and constant broken updates and bad GPU drivers that both Nvidia and AMD release along side the broken Windows updates.
So keep up the good work Liam, and bring more people onto Linux👍

Still waiting for the fix for DX12 games on Linux, as I'm currently using a 4080 on my computer.
But glad to see they beginning to fix some of the long standing issues with Nivida drivers.
And then I can get off Windows for the 4080 and basically use Linux for all the computers I own.

I mean what's he going to do if Microsoft ever made one of their new versions of Windows a Linux distro?
Microsoft have made such things before. And have shown with game consoles, that they will change their entire business strategy at the drop of a hat.
If it ever happens. He probably should delete his readme, before too many people remember what it said:grin:

From dgVoodoo's readme:People like him are going to stand to lose the most when more and more people moved to Linux.

This is cool. I'm glad more and more people are starting to give Linux a chance. The more people that use Linux, the better. As it allows funding towards open source programs to flourish more.
