Quoting: RavenWingsI´d love to get into X again, but I don´t think I´ll ever find the time other then maybe on the Deck. Anybody tried playing it there for a longer periode of time?
I did play it for a time on the 'Deck, which works surprisingly well, because you can switch to different modes based on whether you're flying / map-mode / walking about, but I did need to spend a fair bit of time customizing the controls and making shortcuts.

I don't think you can optimize every last detail, because the menu-system is a bit unusable on the Deck, but I don't find X4 that hardcore to have to do that. Maybe creating bases is a no-go, but it was already incredibly clunky even with a mouse and keyboard.

ooh, the intel chips must be the new meteor lake chips. should be interesting how they perform out in the wild.

It annoys me that these early access games are supposedly amazing when opened on kickstarter, but by the time they actually get released (if ever) they are so behind the curve graphically that it doesn't make sense to get them if you're someone that doesn't buy into early access. It's almost like the developer realising that a complete polished game is too much to handle in the race for an up-to-date looking game, that they force the end user to consume a half game while it still looks ok.

Nice, I'll check it out again.. last time I tried this game on the 'deck it didn't seem quite there yet.

Is X4: Kingdom End worth your money?

It took me a couple of tries to get into X4, it's worth pointing out that the DLC's do a much better job of walking through the various game systems.

Haven't played the DLC, but liking the update - engine feels more snappy, load times are a thankfully down to a few seconds. Curious to see how the controls work on the 'deck since there's a fair number of drop-down menus to navigate

The Last of Us now Unsupported on Steam Deck, bad look for Valve and Naughty Dog

Sad to see another example marring pc gaming, and glad we have GOL calling these issues out early

I wonder if we'll ever get to a point where game companies provide binary shader cache downloads for the steam deck, since it's a known platform, to avoid the long compile times. I recall Valve already doing this for a recent game (was it dead space?)

Quoting: KlaasI would say the Resident Evil 4 remake is a perfect release. That game has amazing performance and, as far as I could tell, no bugs or other game breaking issues.
Really? I couldn't even get to the settings menu without RE4 hard hanging my deck.
