I have tried this game today with steam on my AMD desktop pc and Nividia laptop.
I've encountered no issues what so ever with this game…
It just works out of the box no tweaking required.
PS: desktop with AMD Ubuntu 19.04 and nvidia laptop with Ubuntu 18.04.

I have the feeling that now that feral have ported a couple of games with vulkan/metal the amount of ports is increasing again ^_^

I used Proton/WINE for a couple of games that I played long before I started using linux, for example world of Warcraft and Starcraft2. I consider myself a casual gamer and when I have the choice between proton/wine game or a supported port by Feral I choose Feral port always.
The games I played with wine/DXVK, there have been no games that didn't require some sort of tweaking before it worked properly.
With Feral ports I've never encountered any big issues. Pres play and your ready to go. That feral games like total war have no multiplayer with Windows is not a problem for me. The multiplayer in Total war feels for me like a niche option anyways.

Quoting: liamdaweFor me personally there are more native games then I have time to play.Quoting: sublet's be honest, most people won't wait for Feral. As much as I value Feral's work, having to wait a year or so for a port when a bunch don't get cross-platform online play I completely understand why some won't wait. I hope Feral don't stop, as their work is fantastic but they will need to find a way to get ports out quicker. At least they seem to be announcing sooner now, so that's a good start.
Grab the Autumn sale discount at give it a go.
The port is announced for 2019.
Yes, I honestly feel sorry for Feral.
And considering Twitter posts by some of their devs,
they're quite worried about Steamplay/Proton. :/

I bought the game and did a quick benchmark on my laptop with an 1060 Nvidia card with graphics set on high.
51fps in battle benchmark
62fps in campaign benchmark
54,6 in skaven benchmark
The game appears to run great!
Thanks for the port Feral! <3<3

But on the other hand people who use Linux change their distro more often.
Maybe change the drop-off for distro's to like 1 year or 6 months perhaps?

Quoting: liamdaweI agree with you that it is not useful for hardware info.Quoting: RedjeWhen was the first GOL hardware survey? It doesn't matter when the first was, that has no relevance on the drop-off.
Is once every 2 years not to long for the drop off?
The monthly data is gathered from what people have currently and honestly, who upgrades their PC multiple times a year? The answer is likely a minority of people and they are more likely to actually update their info here as well.

I really like this game, it reminds me of starcraft2. I'm gonna buy it when it releases for Linux.
