Europa Universalis IV: Origins is out along with a big free update

I hope the launch of this DLC won’t be such an disaster as last DLC.
I’ve played this game so much since the Launch back in august 2013.
I think Paradox should only focus on bug fixes and flavor DLC moving forwards with EU4.

The game is getting quite outdated now. It’s time for Paradox to move on to EU5.

Total War: WARHAMMER II - The Silence & The Fury out now for Linux

Quoting: RedjeTotal war warhammer is the only game in the Total war franchise that I really like.

I exspect feral to port warhammer3. It is way more popular then Troy.
The steam deck could even boost their sale numbers if its day1 release. Both release dates are late 2021, that could line up pretty nicely.
It's not Feral's decision, though. They need to persuade game developers to give Feral a cut of the income in exchange for making a handcrafted artisanal boutique Linux/Mac version out of their Windows-only game and providing full support, rather than the game developer relying on Proton (which doesn't cost them any money) and telling their Linux customers to go stick their head in a pig if there are any problems. The lower the Linux market share, or the better Proton is perceived to be, the harder that persuasion is.
With troy it sounded more like feral did not do the port because they saw no profit in it. And you can’t really blame them. 1 year later with no way to publish it on steam earlier.

No TUX, no bucks.
Bought many Total war games from Feral, but without native version i have no interest. Enough other games to play.

With ARK coming to Stadia, does this mean they will also update the broken Linux build?
And finaly add that promised Vulkan support?

After all these many years, last time I tried to play it, the graphic/performance was stil terrible….

Imperator: Rome from Paradox is put on hold to focus on other projects

I’m owner of many paradox interactive dev games.
Imperator Rome has much potential. But the systems they created feel half baked and are not really fun. Maybe it’s good that they take a break to come up with new/better ideas.

Better not start about latest eu4 DLC.

They should get their act together and do what made many people love their games.

Crusader Kings II gets a monthly subscription for all the DLC

I play many paradox interactive games. Bought a lot of their games/DLCs, most of them add a lot.

But this feels like a money-grab. This game is 8 years old. They used to release an collection with all DLCs for 50 euro of so with an game end of life like CK2.

Another subscription...., no thank you!

Work is underway to better support ASUS ROG laptops on Linux

I got an ROG GL703VM.
Everything works like it should be.
There is only no manual fan control and no ROG control center like on windows.

It would be nice if these last things added :)

If you're having trouble running Imperator: Rome, a patch should hopefully be out next week

I have tried this game today with steam on my AMD desktop pc and Nividia laptop.
I've encountered no issues what so ever with this game…
It just works out of the box no tweaking required.

PS: desktop with AMD Ubuntu 19.04 and nvidia laptop with Ubuntu 18.04.
