Game looks very interesting but the thing that drew me away was the horrible movement/ragdoll effects I saw in the trailer.

With all due respect - this is NOT AAA quality graphics. Not in the last, at least 7 years.

I was just updating the Steam client on my laptop before a trip and I closed the news window of the client completely by habit. And just as I was to shut down Steam, it just popped in my head - "Wait, was that a penguin head next to the Windows icon? No way!!!" :D

People, it's NOT Bioshock: Infinite. You know why- because it was already announced by 2K as an upcoming Linux port a month ago. This is in fact Dishonored. The main character's base of operations in that game is a pub (very similar one). And second - it uses the same engine as Bioshock: Infinite - Unreal 3 (not sure about the number) and my guess is that Feral will be handling both ports. While I care little for the Bioshock universe, I'm happy to see Dishonored being ported. The game is amazing in all aspects - story, art style, gameplay. I've already played it along the DLC and it was some of the best spent 30is hours of my life :D. If you haven't gotten around to playing it or a Linux purist who doesn't dual boot - I strongly recommend you get it (if the port thing is true).
PS While not caring for Bioshock I admit it being ported to Linux is a good thing :)

A Closer Look At The Upcoming Cities: Skylines

Quoting: GuestI’ve already wasted money on Crusader Kings 2 (bad tutorial) and Cities in Motion 2 (broken game), so I’ll be very careful before buying anything published by Paradox from now on.You should have done some research actually. I agree that CK2's tutorial is bad but even with a good tutorial (like in Europa Universalis IV) Paradox grand strategies are usually an uphill battle while you learn. But StianTheDark is completely right - check out Arumba's tutorial series on Youtube. You should get the basics of the game in an hour or two.

As much as I anticipated Wasteland 2, I've yet to seriously get into it. Then again I still haven't played Skyrim. Maybe I'm loosing my taste (and patience) for RPG games. Still, I'll defo be getting Pillars - reminds me of the good old days of Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment. Ahhh... Planescape :)))
C4 Engine Drops Linux Support, Developer Says Linux Is Inferior

Well, I'll probably get a lot of hate for saying this but he has some valid points though it is obviously mostly a rage rant. For one installing Linux is not the same as developing for it. That is like saying installing Wordpress is the same as writing scripts for it. One is substantially more complicated than the other :D.
Second, as far as gaming goes Windows is in fact the superior platform. I'm not going into why there are way better drivers and general hardware and software support, but the fact is that it is much easier for a developer to make Windows games. DirectX provides better performance than OpenGL, overall. Not much but it does.
And finally, it is completely understandable that a single developer or a small development company would drop Linux. If they're having problems getting the results they want with reasonable amount of time and effort, it is only natural to drop the 1% of the gaming market. Time IS money.
I get why most people got somewhat offended by this dev's comments but you can't deny there is some truth to them. Think about it. Linus Torvalds himself admits that he created the kernel to be the basis of a desktop OS, yet it currently holds about 70% of mobile, 70%+ of server and anywhere from 1.5 to say 4% of the desktop market. As much as I want to believe that it is "the man" pushing back the amazing open source OS, logic dictates that there has been something inherently wrong with Linux over the years, that continues to draw developers away.
PS Please be civilized, when you loudly disagree with me :D

Nope, not buying another FPS for Linux until AMD and the devs get their **** together. I've learned my lesson with Borderlands 2 and Dead Island (not that I haven't played the on Windows - it's the principle that matters :D). A chop fest on a 290x - what a joke.

The game is notoriously bad. They're porting it to Linux just to squeeze a few bucks from unsuspecting players (i.e. people who do not dual boot).
The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing 1 Linux Port Is On Hold

Well, consider the Windows version is still not completely bug free, so I'm not quite shocked. I did in fact run into a bug that prevented me from completing the game, that was supposed to have been fixed an year before that. I did write to the devs and sent them the save file to fix it and they did get back to me, in all fairness, but I've yet to receive my fixed save game (I sent it months ago). It sucks because I intended to transfer my save to Van Helsing II once I finish the game, but definitely not wasting another 20 hours again just to hi the same roadblock. I know they are a little studio and their resources are thin but I stink a game breaking bug is just something that is unacceptable no matter the circumstances.
Edit: I retract my previous statement - it seems the bug has been fixed as I just popped into the game but complete accident (wrong double click) and everything seems perfect.
