Quoting: EikeSorry. I stand corrected.Quoting: ST34MF0XThey're literally saying it means "currently don't function on Steam Deck", on the page Liam linked.Quoting: jordicomaUnsupported? This has more sense than on spanish "No compatibles" (no compatible), as many of these games works on my linux, even some are native."Unsupported" does not mean "does not work."

Quoting: EhvisI forced LAA, completed the DLC multiple times.Quoting: pete910BL2 default must be native. Because installing it with proton will install the HD texture pack which will cause out of memory crashes. You need to manually untick that DLC for it to be stable(ish). Default experience has fewer issues although proton can run double the fps.Quoting: BielFPsBut I wonder how they'll handle cases like Borderlands 2 that, while having a "performant" native build, the last DLC can only be played through Proton.BL2's situation is embarrassing to be frank. The port from Asprey runs really well but basically it's abandoned from the looks of it. Whether thats due to Gearbox or whomever I don't know. Could be the deal/license has run out as in the case with some of feral's ports.

Quoting: ArehandoroIf I was Sony, or Nintendo for that matter, I'd release their exclusives a few years later on PC. And by PC I mean Linux. Punch your opponent (Microsoft) where it hurts the most.Hit them in the wallet!
RetroArch 1.9.14 out, with more emulator cores landing on Steam

It allows purchase and download of ROMs through Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/10143/SEGA_Mega_Drive_and_Genesis_Classics/ [External Link]
This approach could be impossible for Retroarch, however, given doing so would require licensing of the games through Steam to be used with Retroarch cores. Then again, nothing is stopping anyone using the Megadrive ROMs from Steam on third-party emulators, so...

Quoting: TheSHEEEPSee:Quoting: CreakHow do you use retroarch on Steam??Hehe, yeah, I remember being confused about that as well.
Edit: oh! It's actually an application to install within Steam itself! https://steamcommunity.com/app/1118310 [External Link]
"Wtf? How is that useful? You can't download ROMs on Steam! So what point is it to use Steam with RetroArch?!"
(Of course, I mean ROMs of games that I all physically own myself )

Quoting: rustybroomhandleThe read only default mode for the system is understandable. This is why it might be handy to have some utilities installable directly through Steam. Mainly things like Lutris, GOverlay/mangohud, Bottles, ?? If RetroArch can do it, then I see no reason others can not.Don't forget Luxtorpeda [External Link]!

Quoting: PhlebiacThey sell in-game currency, called Splitcoins, which can be used to buy cosmetics.Quoting: MayeulCThe portals are interesting. I think they had this as some point in Quake World?Weren't there some in Quake3 Arena?
Quoting: MayeulCI hope they can put out the fire from their servers before every other big game company starts to copy the concept.I haven't seen mention of how they plan to monetize - are they selling cosmetic items?
