Quoting: BdMdesigNI think, that is a In-House Port. All Deep Silver Titles are In-House Ports.
Let's hope so, the Metro series ports have great performance. I had some crashs but I can't tell if the Win version is more stable.

I suspect VP or Aspy as they don't seem to be on Ferals radar.

Narrative Game 'The Beginner's Guide' Released On Steam

Quoting: EikeFirst things first: It's great to have a day 1 Linux realease, after all the struggling the developer had with Linux and its users with The Stanley Parable. Thanks, mate!
Good improvement indeed. The first time is always the hardest.
Quoting: EikeI bought The Stanley Parable and it didn't appeal too much to me, so I watched this one in a let's play.
The game is much more like a walkable film with some text to read and much more (well made) narration as it doesn't seem to be possible to force just a tiny different plotline. If one isn't convinced to pay the price first a LP might be a solution if he pays Davey and his crew when he liked the "game". I personally don't feel the need for a second run.

Signed up! Seems to be nice developers and they are really focused on their costumers needs.

Quoting: overlawledWe're 100% focused on multiplayer first and foremost, and with no plans for a single player mode with story.

I didn't notice that it was multiplayer only, but at least you can't blame the AI for not being challenging enough.
Quoting: quasargame.comTesting will only be open to gamers from Friday, 9pm ET to Monday 10am ET
This does make sense now. :D

Ubuntu 15
lol

That never ceases to amuse me.
They obviously mean Ubuntu 15.04 as 15.10 isn't out yet. Don't know why they all demand 14.04 LTS or 15.04, my intuition tells me they should run in 12.04 LTS eg. if the OpenGl driver is new enough.

New Linux Gaming Survey For October

Quoting: pop2010I'm not even playing native Linux games right now, but at least there is a choice.
I recommend (games from) the Valve complete pack as Valve supports Linux in all their games. Their ports have high quality in respect to stability and performance. Another high performing game which can beat Windows performance (depending on graphical settings:AA,...) is Metro Redux, and there might be many other.
