The State Of Unity On Linux

I would be excited, but Godot is so amazing that I forgot Unity even existed. There's no chance in me using Unity anyway due to it's closed nature.

America's Army: Proving Grounds Developers Apparently Looking At A Linux Port

Quoting: EikeIt should be mentioned that this game has actually been financed by the USA and is part of their recruiting means. One could call it propaganda.
It's a fun game, and I don't see why it would be propaganda. While loading, the game gives you short videos of american soldiers and how their life is. Of course, it's meant to drive people into the army but I don't really think it's working. It's a really fun game anyway, and I'm norwegian, so it doesn't really matter.

Bioshock: Infinite for me has run without problems, apart from the fact that saves don't sync using Steam Cloud! More than annoying.

Don't know about you, but this made the game playable for me on Arch! :D Before I had to cope with 15-25 FPS (depending on what I was looking at) on a GTX 750 Ti with the latest drivers. Awesome!

Quoting: GuestI’ve already wasted money on Crusader Kings 2 (bad tutorial) and Cities in Motion 2 (broken game), so I’ll be very careful before buying anything published by Paradox from now on.
If you went into CK 2 expecting to learn something from the tutorial, you are insane my friend. Check out Arumba on YouTube, and see his videos on the game. Even though you dont understand anything in the beginning, you learn a lot from just spectating :)

Quoting: marcelomendesI would ask the same. If we buy and install only the beta/test-build, will it count as Linux or Windows sale?
I think steam registers which platform you play the game on most, as the one that counts.
But does it properly register a platform that is not officially supported? I know there are rumors of Linux sales showing up for games that don't have Linux versions simply because someone bought the game on Linux, but I couldn't find anything to actually confirm those rumors.
Steam's charts doesn't care about what platform is supported, it just reports what OS you play the game on. If you somehow set Wine to display as a Linux distro, Steam would register playing AC: 4 as Linux ;)
