I have to say the Unity engine has made some great improvements, the game runs very well on my laptop with an N2840 CPU on Linux.

Quoting: MyeulCThat's awesome news, so finally Fez will get the Linux version on GOG. Keep em coming!Quoting: Guesthttps://twitter.com/renaudbedard/status/767080954573783044 [External Link]Quoting: Avehicle7887Hopefully they'll also release the update for the DRM-Free version on Humble Bundle, otherwise I won't be able to enjoy this update at all.Same hope here (so far it's not updated). As I understand FNA is not tied to steam (?), so there should be some hope, even more as it's also on GOG :)
. @flibitijibibo and I just sent Windows, OS X and Linux builds to GOG and Humble for FEZ 1.12. Coming live in the near future!

Despite these kind of games becoming the norm these days, I think I'll give this one a look, Dev seems friendly so that's a plus in my book.
Liam if you get to test the co-op, can you tell me if it offers an LAN/DirectIP option? Thanks :-)

Humble Indie Bundle 17 released

I would advise against those who want to buy this bundle for the DRM-Free versions. Both Super Time Force Ultra and Nuclear Throne are outdated on GOG so I wouldn't hold my hopes up for Humble Bundle ones.
Sometimes Humble Bundle DRM-Free games are even more outdated than GOG ones, such as Crimsonland. The bundle itself is not bad and if you can tolerate Steam it's all well and good, but it's a risk for DRM-Free gamers.

No Man's Sky has been shown to work rather well in Wine on Linux
17 Aug 2016 at 7:54 pm UTC
A few examples:
Lion's Arch - 35-45 FPS Screenshot [External Link]
Dungeons/Fractals - 60-90 FPS in the majority of cases
Large group events - anywhere from 20 - 30 FPS, sometimes dips between 20fps but heck, even Windows users have that issue.
Sometimes comes with a few random issues such as TP crashing but it's nothing compared to the gazillion problems Windows users report on the official forums, kinda ironic since it's a Windows game to begin with.
If anyone needs help setting it up just let me know :-)
Anyways - Sorry I didn't mean to derail or go off topic. This game kept me bound to Windows for a while until I found a good working setup.

Quoting: KimyrielleWith the release of the 64bit client GW2 crashes much less (although after 4 straight hours of gameplay it will fill 6GB of ram usage). I've been playing it on Wine for the past 2 years (which was before the 64bit client surfaced) and I've found a very good balance between good looks and performance.Quoting: manero666*snip*For example, Guild Wars 2 was marked as gold, but the game ran with 15-20 FPS, which is totally unplayable in practice. It also crashed -much- more often compared to running it in Windows.

"For Headlander we wanted to push the visuals as much as possible" and "Also: To make the Mac version, we're using Metal" = Errm....ok Double Fine, I'd say they've lost their mind here.
What I think:
Most Macs are Sh**, having an integrated GPU or a middle-range one (unless you have money to burn), plus the majority of Mac owners don't have a very high end GPU. Linux on the other hand has access to almost anything Windows does and it's becoming increasingly more popular, in a couple of years time it might even reach or surpass Mac.

Looks like the open source Mesa driver has hit OpenGL 4.5 support with Intel

This will be great for laptops without a dedicated GPU. Looking forward to the day I play Divinity Original Sin on my laptop :D
Overlord and Overlord: Raising Hell released for Linux, some thoughts and a port report

As a comparison though, I take a look at this video [External Link] of Witcher 2 on a 780, which is a much more intensive game and yet it runs close to 100 fps too.

Quoting: ShmerlHrm, why exactly do you need it even to run at anything higher than 100fps? It's way more than your eye can perceive already. Not that I run games beyond 60fps, It's just that the requirements for this game are petty compared to today's systems and I was surprised to see that a 980ti is doing only 100fps at 1920x1080, Had it been 4K would be amazing no contest there.

Looks good but there's something not clicking for me: A game released in 2007 and runs at only 100 fps on a 980ti? Sorry if I sound like a party pooper, but I'm not impressed. I'd really like to see an fps comparison with the Windows version.
