Quoting: wolfyrionGOG should have given steam keys as well on every game purchase, like Humble.
Both DRM Free and Steam Key.

In this way they satisfy both DRM Free Fanatics and Steam User fanatics and it will certainly increase their sales.

As for me thats the only reason I dont buy games from GOG and I still dont understand why they are not doing this.
Because GOG and Steam are competitors not partners, unlike Humble Bundle. If GOG started offering Steam keys, believe me many people would stop buying from them, including me.

Stardew Valley for Linux should be ready very soon

My doom is coming, I'm a magnet for open world rpg games that never end and since this one doesn't really need a high spec system I can play it at work.

S*** looks like I'm gonna be all over this game now that Adobe Air will no longer be a requirement. Great news :D

Two Worlds Epic Edition openworld action RPG now on Linux, uses Wine
28 May 2016 at 9:37 am UTC

Quoting: hummer010I already own both of them on GOG. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for the Linux version to show up there...
I doubt that will happen. This isn't the first time Topware releases a Wine-Wrapped game for Linux on Steam, of which none have appeared on GOG. Most likely the reason for this is that they're relying on Steam Runtime for them.

Quoting: Avehicle7887Will this also act as an fps limiter depending on the monitor's refresh rate too? (60FPS in my case). If yes, that would be wonderful.

Thanks for sharing Liam, I'll try this with a few games where tearing is incredibly noticeable.
No, this does not limit the FPS.
I've just tested Shadowrun Returns after adding this script to my startup list and the tearing has gone poof. Another issue out of the way :-)

Banished Linux port is pretty much complete, OpenGL performing well

I like this guy, a brutally honest dev and likes to write in details. I can see he has taken many things into careful consideration such as OpenGL 3.2 and common Linux libraries which are found in most of today's distros.

10/10 I'm sold.

Wine staging 1.9.6 adds Vulkan support and disables CSMT
22 Mar 2016 at 7:05 pm UTC

Looks like I'm going to be stuck with Wine 1.9.5 for a while then. I mainly use it to play Guild Wars 2 and without CSMT the game is unplayable in many cases.

Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition patch out now for Linux
12 Mar 2016 at 8:49 am UTC

Judging by the comments here, it seems the Linux version is stable enough for me to start the game. I was a bit hesitant when the first official Linux version came out and kept waiting for a new patch to land and fix any bugs..

I guess it's time then ;)

Want to see the very popular Stardew Valley on Linux? There's a chance

I really wish this game would come to Linux, my family (especially my Mom) played the PS1 version of Harvest Moon for over 9 years. For me this is also the kind of game I'd want to play after a long day out.
