I don't get it: What is so special about that? It is possible to buy the whole game on GOG.com [External Link] and install a package with PlayOnLinux. Works like a charm with no further problems! Why using therefore two DRM-methods because even Steam points out that there is a third party access needed? The version on GOG has no further restrictions especially when it comes to the singleplayer.

Quoting: BeamboomWhy sit there with Microsoft Paint if you can use Photoshop. Why read cheap digital novels written by amateurs when you can purchase great work published by professional houses. Why sit there with an old Casio keyboard when you can enjoy the full suite of Bitwig.Simple as that to answer: Because some of the names and actions got a price to high: Photoshop is just another proprietary software package and there is more than just one example that open-source software could get the same quality. And your so-called cheap novels are just entry points from some beginners, everyone has to start at some point. This is YOUR perspective and yours alone, but don't give up arguments as speaker for a greater group. For example you are not speaking for my perspective, because I give nothing about proprietary platforms like STEAM or software-packages with online-activation building some addiction for me as customer like Adobe always does. It is better having a great little Indie-game like Eldritch instead searching for the next blockbuster.

Quoting: BeamboomBaldurs gate: The games from around 2000? Seriously? Well then you can't have a single interest in anything related to graphics or modern game production values, and we are too far apart in preferences to even discuss it. :)The games made with the Infinity-Engine are optical also today on a very high level. The gameplay and storytelling are nevertheless very good, but 2D-graphics don't getting old the same way as older 3D-titles. You should give them a try and recognize that there is no further problem having fun with them, for days and months if you are willing to. And don't judge people about their preferences in games. :)

Quoting: mironice to see these efforts, but hopefully wine will become obsolete one day. I have not been using it for months, lots of games and stuff runs natively by now - let's keep continuing that.WINE will never become obsolete. Otherwise: How do you want to install older games like "Dark Project" or "System Shock 2"? You should look also backward instead only forward.

Yet another closed source proprietary driver? No thanks! Better taking performance loss and having therefore open-source driver with less centralized control.
