Until this version I've used for SpellForce 2 WINE 1.3.18 because of the ugly graphics error and glitch. But now it is removed the game also got improved performance through the WINE 1.7.x-series. Very good update! I'll also give a try to F.E.A.R. 2 from GOG later this day. :)

Quoting: throghFirst I hoped that this game would be a very nice addition and one of the first action-roleplaying-games on Linux. A purchase on GOG was really near. But now I'd like to point out that this game is not DRM-free as GOG mentions: For multiplaying there is a client-server-principle and nothing about normal peer-to-peer LAN-mode. Also the so-called treasure-hunting is matter of discussion because the account is also needed for activating the keycodes in the singleplayer. So far the discussion within GOG-forums. Have I missed something? Or perhabs somebody could refute me, please? For me the game also said "GOODBYE", if these mechanics stay there is no purchase. Won't buy DRM-software that way!

As default it is correct, but just to play the does not mean you have access to all features of the game all the time. And there is a third party account needed for accessing some features, which is a big problem for GOG in my point view.

Two Call of Cthulhu Games, Both Breach & Clear Games, Interstellaria and TIS-100 Now On GOG For Linux

That's the price of DRM-free. And I don't see another solution for this. So from my point of view it's the best solution we could get out there. In times of digital video platforms there are enough information potential. Otherwise there could some possibility of demonstrations. But these should be done by the developer or publisher and is no problem of the platform itself. GOG has done a wonderful job until now in times where software got more boundaries than ever before!

Quoting: Crazy PenguinAt the current Linux policy of GOG you might have to wait another year :P
Which current linux policy? They've added the linux port of "Shadow Warrior 2013" very fast after the final release. Also "Outlast" was out very fast within days. So where is the problem? And when we have to wait another month I'll take the time and use my WINE-installation until the day of release. :)

Quoting: GuestGreat, have fun with your crappy and broken games. Me I’ll buy on Steam.
You mean a purchase of a game which doesn't fit at last? That is NOT the problem of GOG if you bought something you don't want at all.

Quoting: chrisqGOG really needs to get the Galaxy client going, steam has made me lazy.
Installing and updating games manually just seems like such a chore now.
When the manual way is kept there should be no problem. From my side there is no need to get a client for this and I want update the software myself whenever needed.

There are some more games regarding the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. Which one are you referring to? Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth [External Link]? The games available on GOG are adventures, but also as you've written very famous and good though. :)
