The Humble Classics Return Bundle is a really good deal for Linux gamers

Well, another bundle with mostly DRM-content locked by Steam. Thanks, but not needed! :)

Celebrating again a company giving some efforts back to free and libre projects does not change anything. In fact it is the same "whitewashing" Google is doing, but hey ... it's all about proprietary software here and only sometimes about free / libre software!

Windows 10 S might alarm Valve into boosting SteamOS again

Why even bother about Steam? This is a platform depending just on a proprietary client and making nothing more out of GNU/Linux than a unixoid copy of Windows. With every demand for a client to manage installed games people demand also everything else, including being dependent on everything others give in. So what now? Drink your own medicine would be a first start and afterwards coming up to another conclusion. :D

Quoting: throghIs there Unity used? Or another engine / framework? If Unity is within, this would be rather unsafe because of unwanted telemetry-data transferred.
It's using Chowdren: http://mp2.dk/chowdren/ [External Link]

And the Linux port is extremely high quality! Definitely recommended :)
Thanks for the feedback. So it'll be a future purchase for me! ^_^

Wow, let's celebrate proprietary client-software with saving on someone else's computer! Better building ScummVM from source-code with "free as in freedom" and disabling support for network / cloud. :-)

The GOG winter sale is on, you can grab Grim Fandango Remastered for free

Quoting: MintedGamerI'm done with GOG thanks to their Linux Galaxy client farce.
Perhaps you have noticed, that there are other ways to keep your installations on-track? And updates are not always welcome when changing games too much. So why having some client to manage this? :D

The Linux-powered Ataribox will be available to pre-order on December 14th

My thoughts: Another proprietary system without further access given back to the customers and users. Proprietary services inbound, proprietary firmware-blobs used for AMD, so what's the conclusion to "use" Linux for this? From my point of view ... not needed. There is "Retroarch" when it comes to emulation and a bunch of free emulators independent available.

Something for the weekend: The X Franchise on Steam is free for a few days and on sale

Well? Cheers up for another game available throughout STEAM as complete proprietary platform. And not enough: People got access for just two days and are okay with it. Perhaps afterwards ... buy ... ah, sorry ... renting the games. Feel free to do that, but for me: No thanks! Those games need time and two days are not enough to get a complete introduction. :)

Open source game engine 'OpenMW' for Morrowind has been updated

Just had a quick look at the "release commentary" and closed it after some minutes: Well demonstrating FREE, LIBRE Software with proprietary software (Excel, Windows) is somewhat strange.
