A lot of developers working on things Linux related only can because they are paid too mr Humble.
You have canonical behind ubuntu, redhat behind fedora, intel employs linux engineers as does amd, the list goes on and on.
Like i said people all i have stated are facts. Also Humble i had to edit your post it had lots of bbcode we don't even use here, where did that come from?

Quoting: DrMcCoyYes, of course, but it was a bit ambiguous :PYou're just choosing to look at it like that. All I said was he started it and he's a valve employee, nothing more.

Quoting: DrMcCoyIndeed, but what I stated was still a fact, he's a Valve employee and he started it.Quoting: QuoteSeveral Valve developers actually work on SDL [External Link] itself (it was also started by a Valve employee)Well, Sam Lantinga now works at Valve, he didn't at the time.

Quoting: EdgarThat's what is bugging me, unless he permanently keeps the outside developer on for Linux support on the title or learns Linux himself we will see the same issues again, which is why I've noted it to be wary.Quoting: Quote from Lord AvallonI am not against the guy hiring someone to do the port since it works and is fully updated, he should be more involved in the process in my opinion.Of course, if the port is fully updated there is nothing to complain, but why do you think it will be different this time?
Humble Indie Bundle 9 Has Bloody Landed

Have to say I am a little dissapointed by the bundle's games myself.
FEZ - Some cool mechanics, love the world flipping but another puzzle platformer, really tried to get into it but...just get so bored :(
Eets munchies - Plays like a mobile game, very very similar to Amazing Alex.
FTL - Got annoyed to death of failing miserably on it long ago heh
Trine 2 - Well, we have had this for ages.
Brutal Legend - We have also had this for ages.
Haven't tried MOTN yet, hoping it's this bundles redeeming game for me!

Iracing Online Racing Game Comes To Linux In Alpha Via Wine

It's a lot different to using SDL, SDL games are able to communicate with Steam (just using Steam as an example since iRacing want to get onto Steam) while a Wine game won't be able to for example.
The game running in Wine would be looking for things installed inside Wine so it wouldn't communicate with the native Steam, making things very awkward.
So yeah if you launched a game from Steam that uses Wine for example, it wouldn't communicate well.
This is what a Steam developer has actually stated before, cannot find the link to it though sadly.

It's nothing to do with a system update breaking Steam, Steam recently got an update and broke itself.

I am not using the beta and it affects me, looks like it's a general Steam issue.
