Quoting: PenglingAlso, I notice that the big ugly logo from the first one is absent here, and it looks so much better as a result.
While they may be absent from the renders I imagine the logo will be present on the finished design.

I do hope I’m wrong as I’d love an atomic purple deck.
They entirely removed the logo after feedback.

Quoting: Liam DaweDon’t see what that has to do with anything. I’m not a Linux zealot and will use whatever I feel fits my life best
Out of curiosity is there a specific reason why you keep Windows around?
Many reasons. Not everything runs on Linux, from games my friends and family play and won’t change to certain devices firmware updates and all sorts. That and it’s useful for if i ever need to compare something, like only recently I needed to test a NVIDIA bug with my secondary monitor which is perfect on Windows but now some resolutions just don’t work on Linux.

Don’t see what that has to do with anything. I’m not a Linux zealot and will use whatever I feel fits my life best. I love tech as a whole and won’t limit myself based on a website I run or what platform I mainly game on.

NVIDIA driver 525.85.05 is out now for Linux
20 Jan 2023 at 2:21 pm UTC

Quoting: rcritThis driver didn't work well for me in Fedora 37 with the new 6.1.7 kernel. My second monitor wasn't detected, though the screen was mirrored. The settings app was also missing most content which seems the opposite of their bug fix about non-privileged users running X.
I've seen numerous multi-screen problems with NVIDIA recently. On KDE I keep having to removing the settings files. Not sure what the cause is, my 4K secondary monitor has multiple resolutions that now on Linux with NVIDIA just don't work (but work fine on Windows...).

Assemble Entertainment talk up their indie hits on Steam Deck

Quoting: AsciiWolfSadly, none of their games seems to be Linux native although many of them have macOS builds. But it's still great to see another developer/publisher supporting Steam Deck.
Multiple listed games there have Native versions: Deadly Days, ENCODYA, Ultimate ADOM, In Between and Interrogation.

The Division 2 launched on Steam but no support of Steam Deck or Linux

Quoting: mr-victoryThere is a slim chance that Ubisoft may have tried to add Linux EAC support but screwed it up so it could be fixed on our side. I am obviously very optimistic here.
If that's the case, there should be a .so in a wrong folder.
That's only for the old EAC, not the one from EOS. In this case, there is no .so file.

The Division 2 launched on Steam but no support of Steam Deck or Linux

Quoting: CorbenMy way of playing the Division 2 would have been Stadia... it even had crossplay with PC players. I bought it on sale... well, got refunded.
It's available via GeForce Now, but currently only via Ubisoft or Epic, where I don't own the game. And it being borked on Steam, I guess I won't play it at all now.

We have other games to play...
I feel you there. I had it on Stadia too and quite enjoyed it there.

Valve suffers a huge leak from various games like Portal, Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2

Quoting: tohurThis doesn't make any sense at all .. Valve has NOTHING to do with Havok.. Microsoft owns Havok.. so this story is a bit off and is pretty much a lie from the leaker.. Pretty sure this is a Inside job as highly doubt Valve gives access to their assets to ANYONE even if they are a partner other then the assets that are already included with the source engine
To clarify for you: previously if you used Source to make things, you needed to pay a fee which was waived back in 2021 [External Link] when Valve made a deal with Microsoft on it.
