Quoting: damarrinThey actually confirmed somewhere the "OS of choice" will include a Linux or two? The choice could be between Windows home and pro or whatever they're called now.You buy a kit and do it yourself so there's no OS. Or you buy premade from a vendor and it's up to them how they do it. Like Simply NUC [External Link] for example offer with No OS, Ubuntu or Windows.

Quoting: PenglingDo we know if they were showcasing any particular Deck Verified games on the docked units, or if visitors were free to try out whatever was installed? Since I was a consoles person for such a long time my tastes often lean towards the output of Japanese devs, so I'm really curious about how they're marketing the Steam Deck in Japan and surrounding countries. The brief video-clip and that booklet they published previously gave a little bit of insight, but I'd love to know more!I've added the list of what was playable from the official press release I was sent.

Quoting: NociferI think this problem is more down to you being a gamer by profession (~ish) who owns a gaming site that among other things forces you to go through more games in less time than most of the rest of us.I think you're a little confused on who wrote this, it wasn't me :P

Yeah, this is why I compared it to Settlers and RimWorld together. It's a village / city-builder first and foremost with a bunch of added extras like an events system and other fun bits.

Quoting: SupaySo, you also post an article about how much you're loving that Disney game. And you make the headline for this as "Distrobox can open up the Steam Deck to a whole new world". Were you singing the last part in your head while writing this?👀 👀 no comment.

Quoting: GuestEven now, far too many Decks are shipping with defects that should be detected and rectified in the factory.People only think there is because of confirmation bias. The community is still overall relatively small and so voices about defects can easily cut through the noise. I can guarantee you the rate of failures are pretty normal for mass production.
