It was said to us over email about GRAVEN. 1C's exact wording on GRAVEN was:
The game will be published on Windows only. It hasn’t been determined yet if it will support Linux (or Mac).

Quoting: Sojiro84I can't see what's changed? I've been using Itch over the past few month's and never had any issues downloading a Windows game and then trying to run it with Wine.

What did it do before this change? Fail to run? It has it's own version of Wine?
As stated in the article, it's been there for a little while but it wasn't actually announced. Previously you could only pick Linux builds in the Linux client. Now it will download the Windows build if you ask it to, if you have Wine installed - before it didn't let you in the client.

Quoting: fleskJudging by the commit history, it doesn't look like Amos has left at all.
Looks like they were just pushing out the last bits that were ready, and some of it is just moving over from their own github to itch official.

Quoting: sourpuzI'd love to play Arcanum, but it's not easy to set up on a modern PC, even on Windows.
I haven't tried them myself (yet), but Lutris has Wine install scripts for the GOG version or Arcanum and its essential patches here [External Link]. Should be worth a try.
Gosh, now Arcanum is a game that truly needs an open source game engine for it. Give it proper resolution support, a few added game fixes - would have been brill.

Quoting: aokamiI'm a bit confused, is this helping for translation layers or for developers to natively port their original game or both ?
Sure sounds good though!
It's tech used for building games, that supports Linux on top of many other platforms. There is a big list linked in the article.
