Seriously, the developer said this game is coming to Linux. They can't do anything else for an in-development game that is not out yet. Again, I'm not commenting on this further because it's such a waste of time. They confirmed it, we covered it.

Quoting: LinuxerKS = Kickstarter which this is not.Quoting: Liam DaweIt is all cool, it is your baby of course this site. But i think you once stated that Linux should be clearly stated on KS for you to cover a game here. I dont know exactly what KS is but i assume it is some type of roadmap. Many games with much more Linux indication have been left initially out, i think.Quoting: LinuxerDefinitely not. I appreaciate it for sure. This is just not really "upcoming" FOR LINUX by any real tangible evidence. I don't know maybe we're often just too soft. They said it's coming and it's an upcoming game. I will not comment on this further, you're splitting hairs.

Would you prefer we didn't cover anything that was upcoming? Because that's basically what you're trying to get at there which is pretty ridiculous. That line of thinking would prevent us writing about and having discussions on so many amazing things. Nothing is ever set in stone of course but that doesn't mean we're just going to ignore everything until the day of release.
If we find something interesting and the developer, like in this case, confirms it will support Linux and it's planned, our stance on covering such upcoming releases will not change - we will continue to talk about them because they interest us. If you dislike seeing Upcoming releases, then feel free to block the tag in your GOL User Settings under "Content preferences".

Quoting: Linuxer"they confirmed that a Linux release continues to be planned."We, along with other gaming sites, write about upcoming and in-development releases all the time because they're interesting.
Similar stuff what all of our countries politicians keep repeating. Holds absolutely zero indication on anything yet sounds "something". But as we can see they already now get free coverage in the likes of GOL just saying this.

Quoting: XpanderBorderlands was never really known for actually having good gunplay though, anyone who says it does is mad. Most people went in for the style, the loot, the characters and stuff like that.Quoting: saturnoyoI disagree. Borderlands 3 has the best gunplay of any borderlands game. Shooting weapons is much more satisfying than it was in BL2 or BL:pre-sequel. The guns have more weight to it.It doesnt excuse the situation though. If its the best borderlands game combat wise then, i cant imagine what the old ones feel like.. For me at least the combat was the worst i ever got from Triple A game in a while.

Google adds Free Weekends to Stadia starting with Borderlands 3

Quoting: GuestUltimately the gaming is not in your control, it's in Google's. If Google remove a game from Stadia or shut the service down, then your access to the game is gone. Also, it relies on specifically Chrome, rather than Chromium, as far as I'm aware. So I'm not liking that aspect too much either - it means Google control not only what you play, but ultimately on what client hardware you're allowed to play it.Just as a quick correction (which is noted in the article) it works fine on Chromium, I don't use plain Chrome ever.

Quoting: EikeAs they're so open with their numbers, you could ask them about the Linux sales...Spoke to them, they updated to add it in. Added to our article.
Mac and Linux versions accounted for 4.2% and 2.7% of sales, respectively.

Quoting: Xaero_VincentWith GeForce NOW now working in Wine, there is little reason to use Stadia, except for maybe playing PUBG.There's plenty of reasons. GeForce NOW in Wine can break at any time, and NVIDIA are under absolutely no obligation to get it working again. It's entirely down to the community. If I pay for something I want to put time into, I want to know I actually have something there that has my back. Stadia has that, GeForce NOW on Linux does not and last I tried with the Lutris script (when they announced it), the experience was terrible. Stadia remains great (technically speaking) and *can* help towards Linux ports as Ethan has shown (and others have too) just how close the Stadia builds are to normal Linux, whereas GeForce Now is just Windows in the cloud.

Quoting: Xaero_Vincentwhile everything else should be played in Proton / WineAs always, different services for different people. Gaming does not need to be a one-size fits all thing. There is no "you should do it this way". I firmly disagree with that sort of thinking.
Racing game 'DRAG' with impressive visuals enters Early Access on August 11

Here here. Hear, hear.
I am often impressed by many different styles of games, from terminal stuff like Arcane Fortune to DRAG. There's no need to limit yourself based on graphics but it absolutely doesn't stop someone (me) being impressed by the visual style and the choices made for a particular title.
The thing is, I am just as excited for DRAG as I am for art of rally and they're two totally different styles of racing game.

Quoting: tuubiQuoting: PatolaWho cares about visuals. Graphics don't matter, it could be just as good if it were a Pixel Graphics game. Right? :tongue:You probably think you have a point? I don't think you do.
I enjoy games with pixel graphics. And some games with no graphics at all. But racing sims like DRAG are better off striving for realism and immersion.
It's perfectly possible to be a fan of more than one style of game. If you are not, that's fine.
