Oh that, I really don't like that those details are buried on itch.

Quoting: Alm888"After release in November 2018…"
But the status info on the itch.io page [External Link] is still listed as "In development".
Does it? I'm not seeing it state that anywhere.

Supraland stops supporting Linux shortly after leaving GOG entirely

Quoting: GuestDeveloping a game for linux is NOT easy and we all have been guilty of spreading the myth that it is.
With respect, I disagree. We all have? Speak for yourself perhaps. No platform is easy. The difference is with Windows, it's considered the norm and so it's where developers usually start off so it naturally is for them the easier option. It doesn't make Linux itself suddenly hard to develop for, that in itself is spreading a myth.

Quoting: GuestFrankly my dream is that ultimately one day the OS you run will become irrelevant and then the "native gaming" nonsense goes away for good.
That's realistically not something we're going to see in any of our lifetimes.

Dying Light - Hellraid launches July 23, pre-purchase and Beta up now

Quoting: kaymioMaybe a stupid question, but how do I exactly start the DLC? I just bought it and it doesn't show in the DLC folder in the menu and there is no beta option in the preferences of this game.
The video briefly shows how. Go to the main tower in the first part of the game. There's no opt-in Beta, they just added it to the main game so if you own the DLC it appears as a Quest you can pick which helps you get to it too with a bit on your map.

Quoting: celphyThis seems to block Origin updates as well for me.
Yes, it does. I noted this in the article. Just swap -w for +w, let it update and then re-do it (I had to do it today). Annoying but shouldn't happen too often until an official fix is in a later Proton release *fingers crossed*.

It sure would be nice if Steam had a support this creator-like thing, but it doesn't. GOG do, Humble do, Fanatical do, Epic do..pretty much everyone apart from Steam has it. So sadly, no. If you wish to support us directly when buying games our partner links can always be found here.

Edit: spelling.

Total Mayhem Games drops Linux support for We Were Here (updated)

Update 25/06/20: they also dropped support for We Were Here Too as of June 25. This was announced in a very casual and uncaring manner too. They also entirely removed the Linux build from Steam.

Valve moves on from OpenVR, goes all-in with OpenXR for SteamVR

Quoting: ShmerlNice. Are they going to use Monado too for the actual implementation? And what exactly are they using now for OpenXR runtime, their own blob?
I've seen you ask this before so I'll answer: no they are not using Monado and Monado still has a long way to go. If they do end up using it, you can be sure it will see an article.
