Quoting: BielFPsI think Feral should think about become a gaming developer company rather than just porting existent ones...
Game design and making takes totally different skills from porting.
And can also take multiple years for a single game.

Quoting: kuhpunktSpitlings might be the most fun game ever, but you can easily do this on a phone and download it there in a few moments - so why is this on Stadia?
Well, not everyone wants to game on a phone and this game specifically is currently only on Stadia.
Yes, but it's possible on a phone. It can be run locally on pretty much every kind of platform and doesn't require the huge processing power of Google. The game would be how big? 50MB? Stadia claims that they can do things no other system can do with more players than ever. But this is a tiny game. Playing this on Stadia causes more traffic in a few minutes than just downloading the game. It's just a waste.
Just like Linux desktop, Stadia as a platform needs a big variation of games to succeed. Same as all platforms.

Quoting: dpanterSo buying games with the Linux client should count as a Linux purchase... I don't know man. They can't figure out that a browser is running on Linux? Guess we can't even activate Steam keys in a browser then, but will activating in the client count as a purchase? :S:
I don't trust Valve at all here.

It really does seem like we have to play every purchase immediately to be "sure"... :|
I think it's more a case of: A browser and Android don't play Steam games.

Got a reply today from Valve to clarify other sales.

Desktop client takes the initial platform, then two weeks playtime to count. All others (Android, browser) default to Windows then two weeks playtime.

So do ensure you're playing what you buy. I've personally picked up loads on browser and not got around to... so all Windows, damn.

Quoting: MayeulCIdea (sorry, I always have one when these stats pop up): group the desktop environment and GPU stats by session type:

Show which DE is used more on Wayland, which on X11. Show if AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL users are more likely to use X11 or Wayland (plotting these graphs again for Wayland would be enough to infer the rest, but there could be some value in trying to provide an easier view, but that would be more complex).
Did some brainstorming, worked out a little SQL magic and it appears quite easy to do with the way I sorted the data into the database. When the next generation happens, Wayland and x11 will each have a chart to show what desktops are in use on them.

Quoting: mo0n_sniperRTX on GTX1000 series cards doesn't run anywhere as fast as on RTX2000 cards. I have ran QuakeII on my GTX1600 and it had 3FPS.
That's because GTX1xxx cards don't have RT cores.
