Quoting: GuestI'd like to see them focus on games that don't run via Steam Play. Porting a game that can be played already through Steam seems wasted effort in my opinion
Don't agree, especially when it's popular games. Steam Play can break with any game update, as is now the case with Monster Hunter going from seemingly great to unplayable in a single update ;)

Support is what we need. Proton is great for older titles not being updated constantly.
Support can mean many things. From a native version (never gonna happen for a lot of the games people are listing here) to working with Valve to fix issues in proton. I want more of the latter, it would be more realistic than having a long wishlist of ports.

I've been hearing of a lot of Windows users having frame rate issues with Monsterr Hunter World so I'd be shocked if these didn't make it into proton as well.
Never say never when it comes to games. We already have plenty of games people never thought would come to Linux. Support can mean many things, yes, but I wouldn't expect an update to be pushed out in a supported game from Feral that made it unplayable, since you know, Feral handle it themselves, it's their business to make it work.

This isn't about being realistic though, this is a wishlist, let people have their wishes ;)

Edit: I can pull up numerous other examples of this happening to other games too for Proton.

Quoting: DuncActually, that first screenshot looks suspiciously like PETSCII [External Link] to me.</pedantry>

(It is pretty cool though. :) And in fact, it's quite nice to see something like this for PETSCII, which was very common back in the day, rather than just plain old standard ASCII.)
Well, you might even be right. It supports multiple character sets, I don't remember the exact one I had on for that particular shot :)

Quoting: fmartingrAre they releasing on gog.com at some point?
Got a reply on that today, no current plans. That doesn't always mean it was their decision though, GOG refuse a lot of games sometimes for odd reasons. itch is great though if you don't want to use Steam :)

Wonder if the engine will be able tohandle other games in the future , like Pharaoh , Zeus or Emperor.

Also , Liam , what about this engine re implementation :

Quoting: velemasActually the issue with hardware survey is reported back in Aug 2017

2017, likely nothing to do with the bug that came up and fixed now.

Quoting: JuliusHmm, but this version is closed-source again, or where did they hide the source code?
Since nothing was said about the source, like most other indie games I assume it's closed source. It's a different game.

Quoting: ageresThis doesn't help. Moreover, when I unpause the game, it performs all the actions caused by key I have pressed while it was paused. For example, I press "pause" (and it pauses), then LMB and W, then I unpause the game, and my character shoots and moves forward.
Sounds like you have a config problem with keybinds somewhere then?
