Quoting: SalvatosBit of a touchy question, but isn’t it a bit pricey for a < 3 hours game without much gameplay?
Depends if you feel you get your monies worth with a memorable experience. I've played a lot of 30 hour games that could have been cut down to 10 or lower. A lot of games add to much nonsense padding to make them forcibly longer.

Update: Valve also added these additional bits for Linux on the 17th which wasn't in the initial changelog for the new Library beta:
- Help > System Information now runs several tests to check for common problems with your Steam Runtime environment. Make sure to include it in your bug reports!
- Steam Linux Runtime updated to 0.20190913.0: merged i386/ and amd64/ directories for better layout and space savings.

Quoting: Liam DaweNot dynamic for those, plain list.
So you mean a manually created category? This was possible before as well.
I'm aware of that, Collections overall work differently though for many reasons. And because of that, my point is that I'm now actually making use of it.

Where can you set up a dynamic collection based on developer or porter? I didn't find that.

The Collections feature really is handy.

An auto-sorted list of games I haven't played? Yes, added. A list of games by favourite porters/developers? Added and so on. So many uses for it...

Quoting: dubigrasuHow can I filter out these kind of not (really) gaming related topics?
I filter out topics I'm not interested in by reading the article's title. Works pretty well.
Yeah sure, but I'm asking specifically about the control panel settings.
I think if Liam added a NON-GAMING tag, and added it to articles like this one, then it would solve Dubigrasi's issue (Not wishing to view non-gaming articles.)
Yes, that's basically what I asked for.
Through the use of tags, any reader of this site can adjust the content of what he wants/needs to see.
Yeah sure, you can choose not to read what you don't need. But the functionality is there for a reason, and is already used for other topics.
You're an AMD user and not interested of Nvidia drivers/software related news?...use the Nvidia tag to filter out those news.
You do only native gaming and don't wanna hear about Proton?...use the SteamPlay tag, and so on.
Or of course, you can use tags to specifically search for the same subjects. Is just a handy option to have.

So I don't think is an unreasonable request for a tag in this case. What actually the tag name would be, that's up to Liam.
Such discussion and requests need to be made in the forum where it can be seen properly, not buried in the article comments please.

Video recording and livestreaming app OBS Studio has a big new release out
19 Sep 2019 at 10:40 am UTC

Quoting: pbHow does the script work? I mean the one that pauses the recording when you run to the toilet? Does it need some external sensors?
To quote the article:
You can also use a script to pause recordings when a specific scene is up*, like when you've run to the toilet or something—handy!
*It depends on you switching to the scene.

OBS Studio has a fresh release candidate available for a major new version

Quoting: 14OBS hasn't been picking up the color white lately. It's been showing it as black. Seems like a regression maybe. I wonder if that will be fixed. I'm running version 23.
Is this window capture? Try ticking both swap red and blue + use alpha-less texture format. Even on NVIDIA, this is needed otherwise some games just aren't captured correctly on Linux.
