Unity have changed their terms of service, which has essentially blocked SpatialOS and streaming services

Quoting: CFWhitmanThe reason they can do this is because streaming a game basically distributes a copy to whomever is playing it (though the copy technically is on the server, an image of it is transmitted to the user). Since Unity have to license redistribution rights to all developers who use the engine, they can control the terms of that redistribution. Of course, it's quite possible that outside companies could continue to use an older version which doesn't have the restrictive terms, though I'm sure that Unity would try to prevent this.
Yeah, that doesn't seem possible: https://twitter.com/Improbableio/status/1083361046696476672 [External Link]

This would seem to prohibit that yeah.

Does this only count for the 3rd gen Ryzen??? OR also for the Radeon VII (and upcoming Motherboards)?
The press details didn't say for the GPU, so I assume only the CPU. Literally no mention of it in the GPU press details.

More details added, waiting on more press material about Ryzen specifics although I'm not sure if they will be giving that out just yet.

More updates on Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation with Vulkan for Linux

From what Stardock said on Reddit [External Link]:
I mentioned this in another thread but the reason I'm bullish on Linux game development these days is because of Vulkan.

Vulkan didn't exist during the PA dev cycle.

We're focusing on porting our engine to Linux because you take Linux + Vulkan and you can take your title to many different platforms.

The devs of Tower Unite remove the broken Linux beta in favour of Steam Play, mentioning Unreal Engine issues

Quoting: GuestWhile I don't fully trust a dev pointing fingers elsewhere without proof, there's been enough evidence of late that this is very likely on Epic. Epic started out ok with proper cross-platform engine support, but it's definitely dropped off since.

I still really don't like the idea of devs relying on Valve's branch of Wine so much, but at the same time it's not like some are left with many realistic options.

Basically the whole situation sucks big time.
Every single developer I speak to using Unreal Engine say the same thing, the Linux support has been poor and they've had to spend a lot of time working around engine issues. Too many say this, to blame the game devs. I don't like playing the blame game but I think by now it's clear there are certain issues in Unreal Engine.

PULSAR: Lost Colony, the starship crew sim is closing in on release

Quoting: FictionbrainI would be interested if I could play it in VR - but as it is so often the case, I have to search the forums to find out that VR is not implemented in the Linux version.

Why is this still the case with so many games? At the very least it should say on the Store page (which shows support for both Linux and VR) that it's not working in Linux.

I know that Liam isn't interested in VR, which is of course fair enough - but when recommending a game like this I think it's relevant to mention that Linux users are buying the game with less features than the Windows version has - at the same price.

I can understand if they're using an older version of Unity that didn't support VR in Linux, but they should care enough about it to at least let us know about it up front.
Instead, they don't even bother to reply when asked directly in the forums.
I am very much interested in VR, I've said so many times. It's the price that is currently keeping me away from it. Since I don't have a headset, I can't test and verify anything on it.

Considering how Valve are perfectly fine with the Black Mesa fan game, I can't see them having a problem with this either.
Though true, not quite the same I think :)
What makes you say that? Put it this way, has Valve ever gone after a fan game?

The Silent Age, a thrilling point and click adventure now has a Linux version

For the people mentioning it has no Linux/SteamOS icon, I did make a clear note about this in the article:
It's not yet advertised and they've seemingly said nothing about it but it's great to see it finally live.

This installer work better and is linux community tell me for make that ^^
I really don't get the point of your installer? The game is only available for those who purchase and the game comes with a launcher that auto updates itself and the game. I'm not sure how kindly they will look on you sticking their launcher up.
