No Brakes Games have discontinued Linux support for Human: Fall Flat

Quoting: MicromegasMaybe it's necessary to create a small section on this site where incidences like this are collected and listed and easy to find so that people can quickly check whether a developer ever dropped the support for his games? If there is a sales section there could also be a "commemoration" section for games and developers who "left" us.

Quoting: GustyGhostI have had some luck in the past with directly emailing developers about GOG builds. In both instances, they ended up available on GOG within the following week.
That was my first recourse, yeah. Never got a response though.

In the era of Steam Play/Proton, it's not such a massive issue,
Sorry, what kind of statement is this?

What do we need Linux native games, we have wine. And such words on a site like GOL.....
I'm simply stating that it's available, I didn't say anything further about that aspect, let's not put words in my mouth. I also mentioned how it's not great for anyone outside of Steam.

Quoting: ArticleThankfully though, this situation is actually really quite rare.
Not sure if that statement is really true when you're writing at least one such article every week as of late.
Now now, with all due respect that's just not true.

  • The Banner Saga, earliest post asking I can find is Feb this year

  • Rust, which was back in July and they should add Linux support back eventually.

  • Anodyne a few days ago

  • Human: Fall Flat

So, that's what, four actually removed? I'm not remembering anything else. That's across this entire year.

I will back this up with data anyone can go back to: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/wiki/Games_that_removed_Linux_support

Quoting: pageWould be nice if you can add NixOS to the distro list :) Bonus points if you also display an 'others' bar that groups the outliers that don't fit, so we can get an idea without having to check the full statistics and do the math.
Added the ability to group together everything outside Top 10 for charts that don't have an "Other" option, let me know if there's any weirdness.

NixOS has also now been added.

Sorry for the late reply, spreading myself thin across many things often causes delays.

The Steam Halloween Sale is live, here's a few Linux picks if you needed more games for your collection

Quoting: EhvisAnd as usual in this list, Oxygen Not Included is only -45% if you own other Klei games. If not, then it's -25%.
If only Steam actually mentioned that, if only. Removed it since it's not that good a deal then. Replaced with RotTR.

Quoting: trawzA little disappointing. I was really hoping for Celeste to come on sale, or some Total War games. Darkest Dungeon is 100% recommended though, really fun game although it can get quite hard.
Well Total War: SHOGUN 2 Collection [External Link] is on sale on Humble with 6 hours left.

Total War: ATTILA [External Link] is also on sale on Humble Store with 6 hours left.

Medieval II: Total War Collection [External Link] also on sale on Humble Store with 6 hours left.

And more on Humble Store [External Link] take a looksie, hope it helps (affiliate links as usual).

Since he got the affiliate thing going, I always crank Liam's share up a bit. I also drop the shares of any games I'm not going to play or gift to friends, and wouldn't have paid for anyway.
Thank you, very kind of you both! It actually helps a lot.
