Quoting: ZlopezWhy not using Flatpak instead of snap?
Quoting: lucifertdarkWhy not use it as it was intended by Valve & stop messing about with Snap & Flatpack?
Why not stop asking stupid questions. It's matter of choice. If you don't like it, just don't use it. Simple as that
That is a bit harsh. People are trying to understand the motivations behind the project. That should be encouraged.
No. Linux people are awful. Someone decide to make something useful or just hobby project and share it with the community and what he take in return is finger pointing, blaming and complaining. I participate in this community from 5 years and I read only negative opinions in forums. Luckily developers are not so easily discouraged .
I wouldn't go that far. We have to keep in mind that to question something, isn't necessarily a negative thing. We also have to remember the language barrier, English isn't everyone's first (or even remotely good) language, so people often phrase it in what looks like a rather blunt and direct way.

Quoting: FredOThis last update unfortunately broke the Vulkan renderer for me - just flashing colors all over the screen with Nvidia 384.90. OpenGL still works fine though.
Can confirm this, have just emailed feral support with my support report attached from the launcher, have referenced your comment too.

Grab a permanent free copy of the first HITMAN episode on Steam right now

Quoting: wleoncioThis game's sales model makes me quite confused. Hasn't the first chapter/episode/whatever always been free?
Nope. Originally, you paid per-episode or for all of them.

Then, they made the sort-of tutorial area free.

Now you can get the entire first episode free (edit: for a limited time, but yours to keep).

I like where they're going with this :)

Yes.

Some early thoughts on the open-world sandbox game ‘Project 5: Sightseer’
18 Dec 2017 at 5:46 pm UTC

Yeah, I had to grab it to cover it. Not unheard of when a game isn't finished though.

Edit: To be clear, there's already a fair bit of depth here. 18 hours in and still discovering stuff, with tons of research to do.

Speculation: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive might be getting a PUBG-like mode

That's right, not the assets or the art or the music .. the actual idea. Because last man standing was his idea he invented battle royale

And yes he is referring to being able to copyright a derivative work. I.e if the very first FPS idea (lets say wolfenstien 3D) was copyrighted we would only ever of had ONE FPS ever due to that copyright. That's why movies and music allow for derivative works to be allowed.

Sold 25 million copies. I guess greed knows no bounds.
I admit, that made me laugh and cry at the same time. I get it, people want to defend their works, but come on! This type of game has been around LONG before them. Anyone remember Minecraft Hunger Games? Very similar and that was a good few years ago now. There were more before that too.
