Quoting: FastOSIn my i7 4790k + gtx 780 I did not have very significant difference. Only in some moments I had little framedrop with vulkan compared to opengl. I show in the video

Well for one thing, that will be compared the regressed OpenGL. That's the point of this article, the initial Beta had a regressed OpenGL renderer.

Well, the order is correct for the intended purposes, showing which is the winner in each section. The colours are always the same.

Quoting: gungnirindBy the way, livestreamer's development has been dead for over a year now, streamlink [External Link] is the actively maintained fork.
Good catch, since one was forked from the other they are very similar, keep getting them mixed up, cheers.

Quoting: ThePierrasseCan we get an updated comparison between Vulkan and OpenGL?
Well, I did already two completely different benchmarks showing all three here: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/some-notes-and-benchmarks-about-a-performance-regression-in-mad-maxs-opengl-rendering.9432 was linked in the article.

Will you be picking up a copy when it releases?
it has no active playerbase so far so no.
Online play is one single feature of the game, it has a lot of single-player to it too.

Quoting: GuestThanks for calling attention to this and running new benchmarks.
No problem, it's good to shed light on things. I'm here to serve my readers, no one else. Making things clear is important.

ARK: Survival Evolved has a major update with a needed UI refresh

Quoting: KetilThe new UI is functionally nice, but I think the old colour scheme was better suited for ark. I don't think the sci-fi theme fits ark at all. While TEK-tier is sci-fi themed, you won't get there right away, you will, however, get the UI.
The idea of a UI that evolves with your tech level would be nice.

Strategy game 'Cossacks 3' will have a Linux beta on Friday and I have a key for one lucky person

Nope, they did it again:
We also have news for Mac and Linux users: the beta-testing will commence within a few days. We included the way to access the beta branches in the end of the patch notes.
I refuse to do an article on it now until it fucking comes out. No more screen time until they do it, or until they fail miserably.

Unity 5.6 is now available with full Vulkan support
1 Apr 2017 at 11:00 am UTC

Quoting: natewardawgI don't want to deflate anyone's excitement just yet. I'm super excited about Vulkan too :)

With that said, I reported a bug from the 5.6 beta (reported from 5.6.0f1) because the Vulkan API wouldn't initialize due to a missing unity file which should have been automatically included in the build process. This was tested on 2 different machines building from the editors on both Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10.

I'm downloading 5.6.0f3 right now and will report back if anything has changed :)
I've tweeted the issue to Unity and one of their Linux developers to highlight it.
