Some notes and benchmarks about a performance regression in Mad Max's OpenGL rendering

Quoting: rustybroomhandleI am running Manjaro and have noticed on kernel 4.9 this game stutters terribly, with frame rate wildly fluctuating. I booted up with kernel 4.5 and all of a sudden it's smoother than suppository dipped in Vaseline.
Is that with OpenGL or Vulkan, likely related to this if it's Vulkan.

Stellaris: Utopia, the first major expansion is now up for pre-order

Quoting: toxicwolfMay be worth pointing out that Utopia is currently only available for pre-order via Paradox's own store, and not Steam.
I was initially confused when checking on Steam after reading this article, but on the plus side it reminded me to buy the expansion from Paradox directly rather than giving Valve their cut ;)
Well, the only link in the article is to the official store ;), but I will clarify it to be clear.

Look at the rigth side it's missing a few pixels also it has black pixels where it should be transparent
Yeah, it looks like someone with my skills gimping a random image into the game, but it's real and there's a few issues like that. Overall it's fine though.

Quoting: GuestFriendly reminder that Crunchyroll has terrible video quality even on the highest setting...i suppose one can buy from there just to show support for the show however...
It would also be nice if we could have DRM free content. Maybe someday GOG will also have anime.
Really? I actually sub to crunchyroll and their 1080p option has amazing quality for me.

Then something is really wrong with your setup. There will always be a difference, completely different API and techniques being used.
