Quoting: damarrinYou do realise Chiaki works with PS4 as well?I am aware, i meant dusty as in I don’t use it. Not even plugged in.
Personally, I find many games much improved on the Deck's smaller screen. Plus, I can go to another room and not listen to the PS4's hugely loud fan.
Remembering the login pin is a very welcome addition to an otherwise already excellent app.

Quoting: elmapulYeah it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense on why it's done for gaming. I don't get it either, and would be curious to know if any readers know why they're doing it.Quoting: Liam Dawewich make no sense, i can understand netflix giving us lower resolutions thinking it may be easier to break their DRM and as result this content leaking on pirate websites with max resolutions... (it leak anyway, at least make sense they try to prevent)Quoting: legluondunetSteam has a similar service with Geforce Now, but you do not have access to all your games, it depend on devs authorizations. Before that, we need all these streaming services to stop screwing with Linux giving us a lower resolution.
Soon we will no more need a gaming console, nor install or tweak them, to play games on Linux, we will just need a good internet connection. And we will no more need to buy expensive graphic card, with Geforce Now you can play on your TV in 4K/60fps/RayTracing if you have a good internet connection.
but gaming? the resolution dont mater for an interactive exp, pirating the imagen isnt the samething unless you are talking about cutscenes (maybe music as well).

Quoting: kerossinDo any of the people from these companies have actually said they're involved in Playtron and do they work for Playtron? They work for Playtron, previously at those other companies. Added "previously" to clarify that.

One of the videos used in The Verge's article supplied by Playtron was also hit with a copyright strike, as Playtron took it from someone. Not a good start....

Quoting: Purple Library GuyMost likely something like something like GE-Proton with ULWGL.Quoting: ToddLUnless they got some other technology that can achieve what Proton has done for Linux/Steam Deck gaming, I'm not convinced that they can get this off the ground. Can't they just . . . use Proton?

Quoting: PenglingGiven the names involved, hopefully this won't end up being yet another one of those cases where it's revealed as a Linux box and then there's a bait-and-switch to "Oops, we're shipping with Windows instead because people asked for it!".Well, the entire idea is based around it being Linux, so that won't happen.

Quoting: EriDid you double-check the steam input config as mentioned and linked at the bottom?Fixed an issue in which analog input did not work as intended.Still not working. Tested on desktop and Deck, it just mimics the D-pad, not actual analog input. An easy way to check it is going to first person view.
