the developer accidentally set the Linux content just for Steam Deck, a special feature Valve added before the Steam Deck launch allowing developers to put up specific Steam Deck content
What the heck? This should not be a thing.
Well, how is Valve to determine if the developer meant to do it or not? Only the developer would know, unless they gated it behind a wall that you had to speak to Valve to do - which wouldn't be great.

I was going by how they listed them, but yep it's confusing.

Edit: article text tweaked on that 1 bit.

In the original there's three modes Peasant, Hero, and Demigod and they're going to tweak them so that the "Demigod" mode gives players more instructions and ongoing help - more like a tutorial mode.
Was that tutorial mode going to be built into Demigod mode, or peasant mode?

Adding it to Demigod mode seems a little counter productive.

Might have to give this another go. When I first tried this game I could not work out how to navigate the menus for gardening plots and food production. Was able to get into many money making endeavours, but rich and starving did not work for too long.
The article should (?) make that pretty clear:
they're going to tweak them so that the "Demigod" mode gives players more instructions and ongoing help - more like a tutorial mode
Specifically says the Demigod mode.

The names are confusing for sure though.

True they have two different meanings. Problem is the current system requirements get hooked up to what games support natively. Don’t think devs can note Proton in the system requirements without ticking it for Linux, which then results in a broken Linux download since one wouldn’t exist. A way for devs to tick Proton themselves by default seems would be helpful.
