Quoting: TheSHEEEPWell, let's just say not all of us are easily disgusted and have a bit thicker skin.
It's nothing to do with having a "thick skin" and that's really downplaying how gross it was. I'm genuinely surprised and disappointed anyone could find what they did in any way entertaining.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPHilariously edgelordy, but not really something you want in official products.
I looked over all of it, and it was not some silly edgelord stuff. It was just downright disgusting.

Thanks, they listed this incorrectly in a number of places. It's actually a i5-12400. Have let them know.

Quoting: Liam DaweWhile Valve generally limit key generation, I've no doubt they would work with bigger publishers on this.
That's quite the assumption. Valve hasn't shown much of a will to bend to publishers. They've let them leave steam because the publishers didn't get what they wanted.
Back at ya, you're assuming something that neither of us actually know. I'm just coming from the side of: we know Steam keys are already a thing and have been for a long time, and it would be to Valve's benefit to do it and would take little effort from Valve.

Quoting: EhvisValve would never allow them to generate so many free Steam keys.
What makes you say that? I see no reason Valve wouldn't allow it for such a publisher.
If small publishers can't, why should big ones be able to? Don't see Valve setting such a precedent.
Small publishers absolutely can. How do you think they do it for itch sales? For Kickstarter backers? For Steam keys on other stores? It's been a thing for a long time.

While Valve generally limit key generation, I've no doubt they would work with bigger publishers on this. There's nothing to say they wouldn't. It would be a win for Valve, because then they would get the extra cut from DLC and micro.

Valve locking down publishing Steam builds with SMS codes due to Malware

Quoting: BlackBloodRumWhy is the game blurred? This developer should put their hands up and admit they failed basic computer security. They compromised their customers safety, so realistically it should be public knowledge (else, a customer could be infected by their infected game and not even know it!). Even if that may only be "less than 100 Steam Accounts". I doubt this is the first incident.

They should absolutely be public about this.
The developer only seems to have posted about it on their Steam forum [External Link] but not in any announcement.
