The shotgun is in the room before the one with the elevator door. The balcony is lowered by a trigger in that last room (always listen for moving door sounds!) The blue armor is "In the gardens" either jump over the green armor outside, or use a hidden door rigtside in the "balcony" room.

Played it often, even with x-link serial cable with a friend.... Descent was mostly everywhere better, but doom was a time eater back in the times ....
